Non-veg

Serves meat, vegan options available. A New Orlean style sandwiches poboy restaurant with something not often seen in poboy shops--vegan poboy that aren't French fry poboys. The choice changes from time and to and might be a roasted sweet potato & greens poboy or roasted vegetables poboy. Relocated from 811 Conti St. Open Mon 10:00am-8:00pm, Wed-Sun 10:00am-8:00pm.

Worth stopping by if you're on Bourbon Street

Worth stopping by if you're on Bourbon Street and looking for a vegan poboy. They have 3 options.

The sweet potato/collard greens poboy was underseasoned and 1 dimensional. It lacked texture and bite. The ratio of greens to sweet potato was off (not enough sweet potato on mine) 4/10

The tofu bbq poboy the on the other hand was great! The tofu was plentiful, cooked well and seasoned nicely. The coleslaw was delicious and gave the sandwich a nice bite. And the spicy peanuts added a nice crunch and pop of flavor. 8.5/10

Nice vegan options

I had a sweet potato poboy with spinach and an excellent sauce made with black eyed peas. It wa very good. My wife eats gluten free and they don’t have gluten free bread but they took their cauliflower poboy and put it over spinach salad. It was very good as well.

Three vegan options

Got the sweet potato and BBQ tofu poboys to go, and both were pretty good and loaded up with fillings. The BBQ tofu was my favorite!

Quick, tasty and filling sandwich. The staff was so friendly! It was just enough to keep me energized but not grossly full in this New Orleans heat!

Pros: 3 vegan sandwiches to choose from

Not great

The BBQ tofu sammy is edible but not great. And no vegan sides except potato chips. The vegetarian potato salad seems to have sour cream in it and tasted spoiled.

Vegan food near Bourbon St!

They had a few vegan options which was awesome especially being in the French Quarter. We got the roasted sweet potato po boy and the cauliflower poboy (it's listed as sandwich but can be made into a poboy). We also ordered the spinach salad which was pretty simple. Would be better with another veggie or two added. Poboys were great tho!

Pros: Vegan poboys!!, Affordable prices, Fast service

Tasty!

I had the Thai tofu, which was very flavourful! The bread was delicious, great flavour profile. I was glad to see 3 vegan options to choose from. I think a pulled seitan would be an amazing option!

Pros: 3 vegan options , Fast service , Delicious!

Cons: Great music, but very loud for casual dining

(5 Stars if I could)

Sign visible from the street that reads “Great Vegetarian & Vegan Options” which made me very excited! Just knowing a place knows what vegan is a relief 😅 3 Vegan options, I got the cauliflower one which was amazing.

Pros: Felt authentic! , Grateful Dead/Phish decor , 3 fully vegan options

Cons: Street parking

Not a Poboy, Cher!

We went, with high expectations, and were all disappointed. Now, that was during COVID, so it's been a while. But, all I remember is overcooked greens and an unpleasant flavor. If you want a vegetarian poboy, best bet is a dressed french fry poboy from Parran's or Parkway Tavern.

Cons: Taste, Texture, Overpriced

Thai tofu poboy was excellent. It packs a small bit of heat, but is delicious.

Chance to sample a po'boy

This place has a dive-type atmosphere, with friendly service and a bunch of vegan options. I had the sweet potato po’boy, and my friends tried the other vegan po’boys, and we all enjoyed them. Po’boys are a NOLA staple, so I am grateful this place gave me an opportunity to sample a vegan version.

Pros: Tasty NOLA treat, friendly service

Cons: Not that healthy

Not as good as last time

We loved the poboys that we got at the Erin Rose location 5 years ago. This time, they said that they only had 1 vegan poboy on the menu and recommended that we go to the Dauphine location for more options. We took that advice and got a cauliflower and a BBQ tofu poboy. They were tasty but so dry and plain. We got sides of cooked greens, and they were tasty. I don’t think we’ll go back unless there aren’t alternatives next time.

Pros: Very short wait for the food, Great music playing

Cons: Dry food - needed sauces, Pricey for what we got

Good vegan option in the quarter

Of the three vegan options, I tried the tofu and sweet potato sandwiches. The former was great, but the latter was just too much starch (words I never thought I’d write). It was also interesting people watching at 7 on a Friday night. Maybe it wasn’t a stand out, but good food for a night of drinking

Tried the Thai Tofu

The vegan pizza boys are pretty unique. Never had a poboy featuring Thai flavors. Good, quick food.

Just okay

I split the Thai BBQ Tofu sandwich with my husband. The flavor was delicious and the bread was soft and easy to bite into. It was the most expensive sandwich on the menu (aside for a seared shrimp one). For sliced tofu on bread with some slaw and peanuts, I wouldn’t say it’s worth $14. I’m glad I had the opportunity of trying the restaurant since it is very popular, but would not go back.

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Expensive

Delicious poboys for vegans

It's vegan food at it's simplest -- and the secret's in the sauce! My cauliflower poboy disappeared in record time.

half of the menu is veg

as the title states, half of the menu is vegetarian and i believe 4 of the po boys are vegan now. i loved having so many options. however, they were rather lack luster. i would not go back here. especially for the price, you simply got a baguette w cauliflower in it, for example. flavors were mild as well. cute branding and staff is super sweet, though.
