Wow - Edit
Absolutely delicious, flavoursome kebabs, salads and sweet treats. We loved the lamb steak kebab, pea pesto salad, potato salad and chicken caesar. We couldn't resist the lemon slice and Portuguese tart to finish.

Beautiful food - Edit
Get to Brunswick for a Kevab, it’s well worth it. Plant based meat, and falafel kebabs and lots of desserts/cakes on offer too.
Read moreThe ‘lamb’ is the best plant based meat I’ve had, almost too good. If not for the fact I was in a 100% vegan restaurant I would have had to check to be sure.
Then came the Portuguese tart, eating this was as close as I’ll get to spiritual experience. Wow it was so good 😜😋
Pros: Lovely tasting food , The Portuguese tart 🤩😋, 100% vegan and number of gluten free options

Great vegan kebab shop - Edit
Lamb kebab is bloody decent. I would advise perhaps steering clear of the chilli sauce though as it’s bloody hot. Otherwise can’t fault!!

First time here, the new lamb steak option is 10/10, next time I’d probably add chippies though! Rhys is GF and prefers the falafel to the OG kevab.

Solid kevab - Edit
I love getting a kevab here, definitely hits the spot. I'm a fan of the chikkin kevab with garlic and chilli sauce, and there's a good range of salads. My only real suggestion would be that the chunks of "meat" were smaller so they get more crispy bits - i think this varies a little sometimes, I've been a bunch of times and from memory sometimes they're more crispy than others. Still always pretty fab in my opinion and well worth a visit!
Read moreFeb 2024 update: The salads and amazing sweet treats here are actually so underrated, I highly recommend branching out from the kevab if you haven't already!
May 2024 update: The new "lamb" kevab is epic, I am constantly thinking about it. The potato borek is also a winner, savoury salty goodness.

Go the mock lamb kevab - Edit
Wasn't a fan of this place until I tried the lamb kebab! Agree with others about their signature kevab being mushy and not good in texture. The chips and gravy were pretty good.
Read morePros: lamb kebab most realistic/best texture, cheap
Cons: mushy meat on signature kevab meat

Value for Money - Edit
There’s not too many places out there that offer value for money anymore but Kevabs certainly does. The cheeseburger kevab was heavy and packed full of the good stuff. Dirty chips were huge for $8.50 but between the 2 of us we didn’t let any go to waste. We also got 3 salads for $12 and a couple deserts. Everything was so tasty and we have leftovers (unheard of).

Willing to try again - Edit
I didn’t enjoy the Kevab, I found the texture unpleasant and a bit flavourless. I think they forgot to add the garlic sauce that I requested (I couldn’t see or taste any) which would’ve added some flavour.

Friendly service & amazing food - Edit
I was so excited to try a kebab for the first time- as a soy free gluten free vegan I never thought I'd be able to try it!
Read moreTheir kevabs are amazing - it is a bit heavy (quite oily) - especially with chips - so I couldn't eat it all the time but amazing as a treat! I need to come back and try their HSP 😋

Delicious and filling support your local vegan - Edit
I’ve been here a lot. It would be nice to see it busier, come on vegans. I had the gozleme and salad for the first time and it was delicious and a bargain.
Read moreA nice space and friendly service. I ordered the HSP and my partner had the kevab. I also ordered a cheesecake. The HSP plate was large and very generous with the cheese. I liked the sauces and the kevab “meat.” A lovely space and I liked the cheesecake.

Yummy desserts - Edit
Sometimes I go here if I'm getting my nails done at Mitty's close by, and I can't walk past without getting a sweet treat. Their baklava is amazing, my favourite is the oreo flavour! There are several to choose from!
Read moreThe kevab is their best seller I think and I've had it myself with no complaints, trust me! But I also love that they have salads packed with flavour and bite, and boreks for something quick if you're on the go.
The staff in there are always kind and courteous and willing to help if you look a little stuck- the decision making in there is the hardest part!
Pros: Dessert selection is absolutely divine!, Great salads and boreks

Reliably good - Edit
- Spinach cheese gozleme: delicious, lemony
Read more- Potato borek - very good, flavourful potato wrapped in filo pastry, rather than bready type encasing I've had at other places (and which I prefer)
- Kebab - delish garlic sauce althought somewhat watery, meat chunks a little soft and not that much flavour but still good
- Oreo baklava: delish, nice maple type sauce
There's a big range of salads that I would like to come back to try, in particular the Kale ceaser salad.
Pros: gozleme, borek, Friendly service

Melbourne/Australia has a real gap in the vegan kebab (not falafel) area. Love getting a kevab from here, eating it at Princes park, and spilling a lot of garlic sauce down my shirt and pants. Worth it!

Mushy meat - Edit
Had been hanging to visit here and pretty gutted to say I don’t rate. The ‘meat’ is a bit tasteless and the texture is very mushy, not at all kebaby. It wasn’t bad to eat (garlic and chilli sauce can carry a lot) but if you want the kind of crispy and textured taste of something like a kebab, this isn’t it.
Read moreThe Oreo baklava was nice, but again, it’s also just a bunch of sweet stuff.
Pros: Seating area is nice
Cons: Kebab meat , Don’t think there’s a bathroom
