Great Vegan Option

Visited KD's several times whilst traveling through Townsville, trying to get through as much of the menu as possible: Scallop, Chips and Gravy, Hash Brown, Chick'n Burger, Caesar Salad, Tofu Scramble... Everything was great, and good to have dedicated vegan options when on the road. Totally recommended!

Amazing

So glad we found this place on our travels. We got the veggie burger, roast veg wrap and chips with gravy. The burger and wrap was soo tasty, and was nice to get chips and gravy without having to ask if there is beef in the gravy. Staff were also so friendly! I wish every takeaway was like this.

Wow SO GOOD

How refreshing to find somewhere not only that is fully vegan, but has the most incredibly delicious menu. Just passing through town, I couldn't resist the stopover to try this out and was not in the least disappointed. It was a hard decision which to pick, but I went with the buffalo cauliflower wrap and my partner got the tofu scramble wrap. Both super flavoursome and very filling. The cauli wrap was just on the mild spice- I'm a wuss with spice and this was a perfect level, not too much. The shakes though were next level good. We got honeycomb and a strawberry, some of the best shakes we've come across - don't go past these! Very friendly staff and service, next time I'm driving through I'll definitely be back.

Friendly and lots of options for lunch!

Very happy I found this vegan takeaway near the airport - wish I knew about it earlier! I got the scrambled tofu wrap and a strawberry milkshake - delicious! Was impressed with the amount of options available. Lady who served me was very friendly 🙂

Chocolate custard donuts

Had the scrambled wrap and custard donuts and they were so good can’t wait to go back to Townsville so I can eat here again.

Pros: Yes, So yummy

Cons: No rice milk for milk shakes.

Delicious!

Thankyou!! I visited with my non-vegan friend and we both LOVED our food. So good we came back for seconds!

Love this spot

Fave spot for chips & gravy - they do burgers, wraps & bowls. All very tasty. Always have sweet options in the cabinets too. It’s owned by two lovely sisters as well.

Best Tofu Scramble Wrap ever!!!

Lovely, friendly staff. I go there regularly since discovering their shop, and am addicted to their Tofu Scramble wrap and their chips & gravy! And you have to check out their amazing dessert photos on Instragram - which always result in me rushing into their shop!

The City of Townsville can be a dangerous place for non-human animals from the evil primate villains who seek to harm them for pleasure and profit. Luckily, help has arrived! The city is saved! This vegan outpost, is the first vegan restaurant traveling north from Erumundi in Southeast, Queensland. Over 1200km of terrible people doing terrible things. Absolutely recommend

What a wonderful little vegan cafe with very friendly staff. We ordered two varieties of donuts in the morning (cinnamon and jam) and enjoyed them so much that we returned for dinner. We had the buffalo cauliflower wrap, chicken burger, mozzarella sticks, chips and gravy, and a chocolate rice crispy treat. While everything was yummy, the highlights were definitely the mozzarella sticks 🧀 and the chips and gravy 🍟. I absolutely recommend this takeaway shop to anyone lucky enough to be in the area. 🤤

Hidden gem

My partner and I just moved to Townsville from Melbourne and have come to KD’s everyday since we found out about it. I’m obviously used to quite a lot of vegan take out places but Townsville has a lot less options. Having this place that’s only vegan is amazing. The food is tasty and staff are super friendly. I’ll definitely be coming here a lot!

Best and most comprehensive vegan menu in Townsville

A hidden gem in Garbutt in Townsville! Everything is VEGAN!

It was such a surprise to happen across this little shop near the airport. With long opening hours and huge selection, of wraps, salads, burgers, and deep fried foods such as scallops, chickn nuggets and a selection of baked goods.
There is also frozen meals to take to your accomodation to heat and eat like mac and cheeze and lasagne.
The location close to the airport makes this the perfect first stop on your way into town.
It is also priced very well.

Pros: Tasty well made food, Friendly service, Great selection

Cons: Nothing!

Loved it!

Fantastic shop, great atmosphere, created by lovely people, and quick delicious food. There is defiantly something for everyone. I would go here everyday if i lived closer, prices are also great.

Vegan milk bar

All the best menu items I remember from the old local chippie, plus a couple of american additions. Vegan mozarella sticks, for example. Such a kooky idea but it really works and I devoured two in five seconds flat. I wanted to try everything in the display cabinet but ended up choosing just a jam doughnut. That and the choccy milk transported me back to halcyon summer days of childhood. Such a winner and I wish they would open this business in Cairns.

So good!

This little no-frills corner store/vegan fish-and-chippery is the best thing to come to Townsville. Everything is so reasonably priced, which makes for a great excuse to order a bit of everything. The fishless fillet burger, deep-fried mozzarella sticks (!!) and the tiramisu are my current favourites. The thick-ass donuts with various fillings that seem to change daily are next on my hit list. The owners are lovely and it's easy to tell that they really care about their food and their customers.

What a find!

Travelling up the coast from mid north coast NSW I was so happy to find this great new vegan takeaway in Townsville.
Burger and fries were so good and the owners are lovely!

Pros: Great food, Friendly service, Nice place

Cons: Too far from my house in Port Macquarie NSW
