Good basic food I'd say 3.5 - Edit
I'd say 3.5 but it wasn't a 4, so I went with 3. The tofu was pretty good but nothing too exciting. The hush puppies were fun. Staff was kind of rude and I was there with my elderly dad and aunt.

Pros: Love tofu as a choice rather than fake meat, Hush puppies

Delicious bean dip - Edit
Had dinner and drinks at the bar. Very happy with the vegan options. The hot bean dip was fantastic and the crispy tofu was delicious. My non vegan brother tried and enjoyed both items as well. Highly recommend. Bartender and service were great!

Best tofu appetizer - Edit
Like others said, the tofu appetizer was amazing! I got the avocado banh mi tacos and they weren’t very good. I don’t know if it was the sauce, but I wouldn’t get them again. The tofu app made it worth it.

In the words of my husband “nothing wasn’t great”

Pros: Corn & Lentil Beignets 🤤🤤🤤 (spicy), Carrot & Cauliflower Paella, Veggie Cuban (vegetarian; husband loved)

Best Tofu in Pittsburgh - Edit
It might be a lofty statement, but I don’t think so. I was blown away by this tofu. The little peppers in there really added a kick, and the sprouts tempered it so it wasn’t too much. This is a dish I’ll continue to return to while in Pittsburgh. Also the happy hour drinks are phenomenal!

So Delicious - Edit
They have a couple items on the menu denoted as vegan. Got the Tropical Guacamole to start and it was some of the best I've ever had! Then had the Carrot and Cauliflower Paella as my main. I could barely finish it, it was so much food. But the flavor was so authentic and rich. Very impressed with this place!

Many options - Edit
I have been to this restaurant probably 100 times over the last 25 years. I’ve only been a vegan for five years. I have always enjoyed this restaurant. The service is great and the food is very flavorful and interesting. Luckily for me, they also have many vegan dishes always on the menu. No modifications required. They also have a great draft beer list that is constantly changing. Great place.

Very Good - Edit
Well-seasoned vegan meals, with one vegan option for dessert when we went (spiced rum cake with vegan mango ice cream). The paella was just spicy enough. Good homemade mango salsa.

Get the tofu! - Edit
The fried tofu was my favorite. Crispy and flavorful! Also Ordered the rainbow salad which was full of veggies goodness and the corn lentil beniegts which were a tad spicy. The portions very generous and great for sharing.

Beautiful restaurant - Edit
As prior seafood lovers, we were happy to see the calamari appetizer served with tofu instead. Tofu was crispy and chilis, scallions, sesame seeds seasoned it perfectly. The paella was good. Would probably try the avocado banh mi the next time. Nice to have options!

Delicious vegan food, clearly marked - Edit
The menu has V on all vegan items. The paella, tacos, and fried tofu were all phenomenal. They have a separate outdoor window for socially-distant pickups.

It’s mediocre - Edit
My friend who lived in Pittsburgh didn’t stop talking about Kaya so we wanted to give it a go while passing through. Firstly their items are not marked gluten free so I needed to call them if they carry corn tortillas for tacos but they said no.. such a shame I really wanted try them. Also menu kinda changes where ever you order from as I had the rainbow salad my protein option was crispy tofu it was available on their website but wasn’t on Uber eats so I had to order that separately. I like the salad as it had very fresh ingredients but tofu was just ok and under seasoned. We had tropical salsa and guac with mango both were under seasoned nothing special about them. My husband got the veggie paella he said it was ok. It’s either our luck or this place is a hit and miss.

Delicious - Edit
Upon looking at the menu, all the vegan and vegetarian options are clearly labeled. The options are plentiful too.
Read moreI had the tropical guacamole and the crispy tofu for appetizers. The guac had mango pieces which was a nice touch, but was otherwise on the bland side. The crispy tofu was just that, crispy and bursting with flavor.
I had the green bean and carrot paella for the entree. This was really delicious. The portion size was also huge and the plate was loaded with vegetables too.
The only downside was that there weren’t any vegan dessert options. Other than that, I’d come back here again.
Pros: Clear labels, Big portions
Cons: No vegan desserts

Great Foods & Amazing Drinks - Edit
I was super surprised to see how many vegan options they had on their menu. They even have a vegan paella. Their cocktails are worth it and are half price during happy hour, which you can get anywhere in the restaurant, not just at the bar.

Vegan friendly-ish. - Edit
There were three dishes on the menu that were vegan or could be made vegan. They're not labelled, but the server was knowledgable and pointed them out when i asked. I went for the Seasonal Vegetable Paella. It tasted very fresh, had lots of flavour and an interesting variety of ingredients.
Read moreI didn't have a reservation for a table, but the full menu was available at the bar. It was pretty busy, but not too uncomfortable to eat there.
The music was Caribbean sounding and there was only one TV showing sport; a pretty cool place overall.

Very good, creative vegetarian cuisine - Edit
We've eaten here several times and enjoyed every time. The best was the vegetarian prix fixe offered once a month. While expensive, the food was really exceptional. They offered both beer and wine pairings with the meal. The beer paring was well thought out, and featured several beers I've never had before (and that's saying something).
Read moreOn other occasions, we've had several of their regular vegetarian offerings. All were very good. We especially like the Jerk Tacos. They are very spicy, but very delicious.
The place is small, and can get loud when crowded.
Pros: Food
Cons: Expensive, Loud

Strip District Vegetarian - Edit
This place was excellent. Went here on a trip to the Strip District. The portions were huge and everything was great! I order the Jerk Tofu Tacos and they had a really good kick to them. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an exotic lunch or dinner while in the Strip District.
