Probably the only vegan friendly place in Tarnow - Edit
I had only sweets there and coffee so can't coment on savory food but tartas were good. I wish they have vegan donuts and some French type pastry but considering very limited choices in Tarnow I'm glad they have what they do.

Cozy cafe with plenty options - Edit
While visiting family in tarnow , I was quite dissapointed with vegan options. When I discovered Sofa in 2017, I was very excited. A cute looking cafe with comfortable interior and seemingly plenty(in comparison to the rest of the city) options. They have quite the range, from alternative milks for coffee and matcha to cakes, bagels and pasta. The coffee is surprisingly delicious , quite the light roast.

Cons: Upcharge for plant milk(3 PLN), Could have a wider range of vegan savory food

Cozy bistro with tasty offer but disappointing approach - Edit
Have you ever seen a place which claims to be vegan-friendly but is not animal-friendly? I haven't. Until visiting Sofa café in Tarnów...
Read moreWe have been traveling with our dog (small, well-behaved, calm and pretty clean!) for ages and never had a problem to come in a restaurant. Even quite fancy restaurants usually accept guest with a dog. So it was quite a shock to come to a bistro which seems to be a modern, almost hipster place, with vegan offer...and to see a "no dog" sign on the door. We asked whether it is really not possible to come in. No. I must highlight that inside, there are no carpets or whatever a dog may destroy or mess up. Well, to meet a place which claims to be vegan-friendly but is not pet-friendly at the same time, it sound like a bad joke.
Unfortunately it was raining, so we couldn't even sit on the terrace. Wanted to look for another place offering vegan-options, but to be honest, there is not a huge choice in Tarnów. So we decided to go to "Sofa Pink", which is another part of this bistro, located right next door from the original "Sofa" café. Dogs are not allowed in as well, however it had at least a terrace with an awning, so we could sit outside while raining. It did look like a sweet-shop, offering only coffee and some soft drinks (as presented on the menu we were offered) and some sweets and cakes displayed in a showcase. We were looking forward to the vegan bagels and wraps offered at the bistro next door, but as we ended up only at the sweet-shop next door, we chose a coffee (soy, oat, almond and rice-coconut milk available), lemonade and desserts (only 2 vegan options offered).
Well, I accept that the terrace is self-service and you shall order at the bar inside, however I think that if there are NO other guest at all, the waitress may come to you, instead of sitting inside and staring at you through the window. But OK, this would be the least problem. I ordered at the bar.
What a shock - the waitress brought the full menu list at the same moment with our order!!! We could have had the bagels and wraps, but we were offered them too late, in moment we were already served the coffee and desserts. Is it normal to offer a guests only a slight part of your menu, and when they choose, order, pay and you serve them, you tell them "Hey, we have pretty much more to offer, haha!"
Finally, the coffee, lemonades and desserts were very tasty and I would recommend to food itself. But the food is only one part of the atmosphere.
Pros: Tasty desserts, Cozy and clean environment, Satisfying offer of vegan-options
Cons: Not pet-friendly, Unconcerned staff

Definitely visit if in Tarnów - Edit
This place offers a wide selection of vegan coffees and drinks such as juices or smoothies. When it comes to food there are still way more options with meat/ cheese than vegan ones. Although the menu changes a bit seasonally, you can always choose at least between a few.
Read morePrices of drinks and lunch items (like wraps) are reasonable, but stuff like soup and pasta is either too pricy or has too small portions. Still, had their food many, many times and it was nearly always good or great (I believe that only the vegan pate bun and chestnut pancakes can be considered bad, had them ages ago, not sure if on the menu anymore).
They have a lot of seating space and the decor is really nice. You can choose to sit at a classic table, sofas or armchairs and if you sit there for hours with just a coffee it’s all good with them and you don’t feel pressured to leave.
Warm dishes always take more time to make then they tell you while ordering.
Pros: Vegan options clearly marked, Good food and drinks, Decor
Cons: Prices of some dishes , Waiting time

Strasznie drogo - Edit

The best place for vegans in Tarnów - Edit
When you're vegan and in Tarnow - go to Sofa! They mark all vegan/vegetarian options very clearly, so you don't have to ask the staff. The place is lovely and elegant, very instagram-friendly. My favourite dish is vegan curry, 10/10! They offer a selection of non-dairy milks and desserts as well.

Unreal (vegan family) - Edit
Stopped in Tarnów on our way home and found this place on happy cow and Google maps. The photos on the review give the food no justice. Check out their Instagram for a better idea on how the food looks.
Read moreFirst impressions were great, easy to find and the interior and exterior were both aesthetically pleasing! The staff were great and friendly and took care of our confusing order very well!
The food and drinks themselves were delicious and presented beautifully. My favourite was the soup (tomato) served with a nicely toasted roll and the rhubarb crumble! The coffee was delicious too! They've coconut, almond and soya! English menus available :)
Pros: Lots of clearly vegan options , Staff lovely , Nicely decorated and good vibes
Cons: Would love oat milk ♡

Good range - Edit
Really nice big cafe, with lots of sofas, chairs and tables. They have an English menu if you ask behind the bar. There are several options for vegans - wraps, soups, bagels, pastas, risottos, a daily special, and desserts. There is a wait for food though and you will probably wait longer. I had the vegan wrap and waited 35 mins. I also think there was honey in the salad dressing, so do check if you’re worried about that. The carrot cake wasn’t nice at all, but the chocolate cakes looked better. Considering it’s a small town this is a pretty decent place.
