Vegetal Ramen a bit bland

Authentic Japanese restaurant. I had the Vegetal Ramen as shown on the photo which is vegan. The broth tasted unsalted. My partner had the meat ramen which he said wás salted. We came in at 3pm and it was almost empty. Prices are affordable, atmosphere could be better. Maybe the other vegan dishes are better than the ramen I had.

Pros: Affordable , Authentic Japanese

Cons: Bit bland, Dark inside , Toilet smells

Good food, not many options

The food is good, but they do not have many vegan options (two types of ramen, gyozas and azuki mochi). We loved everything nonetheless.

Good price, but not for me

All the ramen are very seaweed based which is not my favorite thing to say the least. But the rations are big and the price is right so I feel like people should get a lot more out of Kawamura than I did. My partner liked it a lot for example.

There are not a ton of options: 2 ramen, the vegan gyōza and the azuki mochi.

My favorite place to eat ramen

It's a perfect place to go with your couple or non vegan friends. They have only a few plates but they are very well chosen and delicious. The menu of the day is cheap and also pretty generous. The decoration of the restaurant is cute "kawaii" and cozy. They have studio Ghibli merchandise around the place. The chopsticks are reusable not the cheap use and throw ones. Definitely the place that I would take my friends to.

Pros: Delicious ramen, Reusable chopsticks, Lovely place

Cons: Non reusable water bottle, Only a few desserts

Vegans or customers in general are a burden for them

We went there on a weeknight, there were just a couple of other tables sitted but the lady working there seemed bothered when we asked for a table for 5, made us wait 15 min to get us sitted even thought most of the tables were available and I guess unreserved since we were there for a long time(everything took forever) and most of the tables remained empty. It took her about half an hour to take our order, she kept saying to wait without giving any reason. But the worse part was that after she finally took our order we could hear the kitchen staff arguing with her, loudly, angry that she took our order(vegan and regular okonomiyakis, ramen, appetizers) . After this we couldn't really enjoy the food. The ramen was actually tasteless, the vegan gyozas were good. When we were leaving her attitude was better, smiling, but why just at the end, we couldn't enjoy our dinner.

Pros: vegan gyoza was good

Cons: horrible service, we felt unwelcomed and bad about

great vegan ramen and gyoza

The downside was that we also ordered vegan okinomiyaki but it came with egg... so they ignored the “no egg/vegan please” part. If you get the okinomiyaki make sure you triple tell them that I cannot have egg!

Excellent Japanese food

Very polite lady working there. Just tell her you're vegan / vegetarian and she will help you with your choices.

Pros: Great food and great service
