Good food and service - Edit
This was a find. Interesting shopping center. Indian/Nepali restaurant, African market, Mediterranean market. Food was delicious. We had samosa, roti, Chana masala, aloo mater, rice. Vegan items are clearly marked on the menu. Service was helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking.

I found more Vegan options than most passes in town there. They are clearly marked on the menu as well. The food was also fairly tasty. No complaints.

Options are clearly marked - Edit
There were many options to choose from and some that we’ve never experienced before. Fried vegetable momo, chana saag, and onion bajhi we’re all delicious and fresh. The price was fair and we had ample food for the 2 of us to have dinner and lunch the next day.

Fun Options - Edit
Kathmandu has several clearly marked vegan and vegetarian items on their menu. I enjoyed the vegan momo, which are Nepalese dumplings and come with a very yummy spicy sauce.
Read moreWe also ordered two other vegan curries which had nice spice levels and flavors but were unfortunately a little under-salted. Might have just been an unlucky day; I would be willing to give the benefit of the doubt and try Kathmandu again!
Pros: Lots of options, Quick service, Clear menu
Cons: Under-salted, Forgot our silverware :o

DELICIOUS! - Edit
My boyfriend and I were visiting Des Moines and were craving Indian food. I came across this place, which is super easy to miss when driving. However, MAKE THE STOP! The owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable about what is vegan on the menu. We went for dinner and we left with happy hearts and full bellies. We actually had a lot leftover too! It’s a decent price and a lot of food! Highly recommend.

Cosy place with a choice of vegan foods - Edit
I went there during lunchtime and they had a self service buffet. I let the waiter/owner know I'm vegan and I could choose from several main and side dishes. Spicy food, huge portions, good service.

SO good! - Edit
So many vegan options! I let the waiter (who I suspect might also have been the owner) pick his favorite vegan dish for me and it was excellent. I went with friends who are not vegan and he was quick to warn me that the non is not vegan so I wouldn't partake. I really appreciated the heads up.
