Just Eat at Just Vegana - Edit
After seeing a post on Instagram that she was going to be doing a vegan pop up booth in Fontana, I knew I had to make the trip to try some vegan Mexican food.
Read moreUpon walking up to the booth, I was greeted by a friendly you lady. Hubby asked if any of their food items contained nuts and the young lady quickly answered that they use cashews in their nacho cheese. Although the use cashews in their nacho cheese, she did mention that hubby could have any of their food items topped with a non nut base cheese which they use for their quesadillas. I decided to order a vegan shrimp quesadilla for the booth which was juicy, flavorful, and filling. The salsa was the perfect topping for the quesadilla.
Hubby decided to order the carnitas street tacos and a glass of aqua fresca. According to hubby, the carnitas taco said they were well seasoned and he'd definitely have them again and the aqua fresca was good as well.
Although she's closed her Pomona location, I am counting down the days until her Fontana location opens so I can give my taste buds another taste of authentic vegan Mexican food.

This place and the pop-up are amazing. Had the tamales and champurrado thinking that would be enough, but went back for tacos and a sope. Also have a pambazo that I didn't get to try, next time though! Definitely will be coming back time and again.

Buttercup and I went adventuring to Clairmont and Pomona out of pure COVID boredom saw the quaint down town of Clairmont and walked around the School campuses then drove through and looked at the historic buildings in Pomona, but the highlight of the day was Just Vegana. The staff was good they were friendly and clearly enjoyed what they were doing and were having fun, they were just finishing my order and confirming that it was correct when I arrived. I really appreciated that last quality check.
Read moreI did a quick search saw the pics and knew this place was going to be the real deal in tacos. The community of Pomona wouldn't tolerate whitewashed BS tacos. We were so right this place was amazing. The prices were great especially for the serving size, the quality was there with the food made fresh and I really loved that the onion, cilantro, and lime were served on the side. There was so much that food that I had enough leftovers for lunch today. Buttercup had the Shrimp burrito and it was huge and again 2 meal. I took a bite of her burrito and the rice was really good the veggies were great. I am not a fan of imitation shrimp it is a textural thing so I cannot say I personally loved it but my daughter totally did. The last thing to discuss was the cheese sauce on the fresh chips. Nothing to discuss it was possibly the best cheese sauce I have had since going vegan. The chips were fresh and made in house.
I cannot wait to go back, hopefully they can open up in house dining soon and I can take better pics of the food being enjoyed onsite not all weird in my car.

This little hole in the wall is amazing! I wish I would have eaten there before the pandemic. They have seitan and jackfruit. Don’t know which is better but the flavors are just out of this world!! The carnitas might have some type of voodoo hex that makes them taste like pork and the seitan tastes like azada. Let’s not talk about portion sizes because thank god im at home and I can wear my fat pants oh wait, my moo moo!! The nachos are just another conversation all together. Give them a try and believe me, you won’t regret it. Did I mention they’re not expensive? The portions are so huge that are worth every penny.

As a former meat eater, after the first bite, I actually went back to verify that this was not REAL meat. Honestly, the best carne asada taco I've ever eaten, vegan or otherwise ! I will treat myself monthly! I'm always craving Just Vegana Taco's!

Totally delicious. We tried the street tacos, burritos, asada fries and nachos. They were all great. We had the asada, pollo, al pastor and chorizo-all were great. My wife and kids felt the al pastor was the most flavorful. The nacho cheese was truly delicious. Portion size is also very generous but is costly. Only downside service was very slow but super friendly

Everything on the menu is amazing. The queso is made with all kinds of nuts & is the creamiest I’ve ever tasted. If you’re a nacho fan, you’ll love it. The burritos are huge & filled with tons of delicious veggies, rice, choice of protein. The asada & carnitas are the best meats & are filled with flavor. Try the shrimp tacos, you will not be disappointed (the chef knows what he’s doing with those spices). The service is stellar, especially the homie Alex. You will not be disappointed :)

This place is so good that we once unashamedly (okay, maybe slightly ashamedly) ate there three days in a row (and many times since). The staff is super friendly and helpful when ordering; we took someone who had never been there before and the nice woman helping us brought out a sampler of all the different protein options. Even though we live in Orange County, we now make a regular pilgrimage for this food. Our favorites are definitely the carnitas and al pastor. My fiancé lives for the spicy salsa!!
Read moreThe prices might seem a little high but it’s a great value for the huge portions. We always leave stuffed and happy. If you’re particularly hungry, the asada fries are also incredible. The best thing about Just Vegana is that there is no vegan-restaurant pretense to this place; all kinds of people go because the food is simply delicious. Honestly, it’s just super tasty.

My favorite thing is honestly the cheese, talk about liquid gold. Vegan asada has kind of an aftertaste that throws me off.

OMG! I really loved El Pollo Loco tacos al carbon. They were simple- chicken, onions, and cilantro. Well, I have found an amazing place for delicious... delicious vegan tacos when I am in So Cal. Mmmmmmmm! Why did I wait so long to come here? I had 4 different varieties of the street tacos- chorizo, al Pastor, asada, and carnitas. Yum! Are the facilities the nicest? No, but it adds to the authenticity of the food.. no pretense here!

Here for the first time. Wife is vegan, I am not but the food here is delicious. We wanted to try everything so we ordered a carnitas burrito and each a taco of asada , chicken, al pastor and chorizo. My wife and I shared everything. The chorizo looked and tasted exactly like beef. The chicken and asada were just as good. The carnitas burrito looked and tasted exactly like carnitas. I highly recommend this place and I will be a regular from now on. See you next weekend.

Their Carnitas are very good! It’s a well cooked and seasoned jackfruit! Their Carnitas Nachos with their in house made nacho cheese is incredible!! This vegan cheese is by far the best vegan cheese I’ve ever had! I highly recommend giving it a try!
