Tasty

We went on the second day it opened. All food tasty and delicious. Nice look to the cafe, well decorated.
Sadly the chips were undercooked, we both agreed on that.
The seitan dish was out of stock.
Why not put a notice up when that`s the case?
It was only the second day and already out of our chosen dish.
Staff were reasonable.

Pros: vegan

Cons: menu items out of stock, half cooked chips

Hi

Apologies you were disappointed with the lack of Shawarma. We did not anticipate the level of interest we experienced over the first two days and did in fact run out of a number of dishes by day two. Rest assured that this issue has been resolved now and that we have plenty of shawarma available.

As for the undercooked chips again we apologise. Our chips are homemade and go through a process of boiling then frying but due to demand we had to use ones that were not boiled previously.

We apologise for the oversight in quality but please rest assured these were teething issues that have since been resolved.

Thanks
Just Falafs

gorgeous snacks

Very tasty snacks, good range of middle eastern food, tried the falafel and shawarma pittas which were made with seitan strips. Was extremely busy but service was still quick. good value for money.

Pros: cheap, tasty

Cons: not much seating

Lunch

Called for lunch yesterday. Nice, clean & simple eating area. Friendly staff. Ordered Shawarma and spicy mushroom hummus to share with my wife, both on plates. Served in about 5 minutes, nicely presented. The person who served us explained that we could help ourselves to a small selection of salads next to the counter. These were 4 simple choices which complimented the main lovely. The hummus is lush, so rich and creamy. The wholemeal fluffy pittas were warm and soft. My only slight criticism was that the seitan shawarma which was cut into small cubes were a little overcooked and hard. Making them larger or forming into strips/slices would be better. Apart from this really enjoyed and wouldn't hesitate to go again. £10 for the pair of us and left stuffed.

Pros: Nice atmosphere, Friendly service, Good value

Cons: Seitan overcooked.
