Not too much taste

The place is cozy, but the vegan options (can’t say about the other ones) have almost no taste. #Veganuary

Vegan Bagels

A very nice lunch place with lots of vegan options! All but three bagels were vegan. Only the double chocolate and cheese pepper bagels have dairy, and the honey beets bagel has honey. You can also have a set lunch, where you get a bagel with two dips (only the olive oil is vegan), a large or small soup of the day (all vegan), a large or small salad (dressing is vegan), a choice of French fries or pickled veggies, and a drink from the drink bar. The drink bar includes various juices, teas, coffee, and soy milk. They also have single menu items, including fried soy meat. I got the soup set, which had a large pumpkin soup and a small green salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing.

The staff was a bit confused about what is exactly was vegan, because just like a lot of places, they thought that any kind of cross-contamination automatically made products not vegan, for example anything produced in the same factory as non-vegan products. But we had a really great conversation and they were very open to improving their menu labeling and their knowledge on the subject.

Nothing vegan, staff could not tell me what vegan was

Staff immediately said there were no vegan bagels. Then when we went to leave, as we are vegan, said that maybe some of the bagels might be vegan and then went back and forth over whether or not any of them could actually be considered vegan. I would not recommend unless you're vegetarian (which you could just go anywhere for bagels anyway).

Pros: Nothing

Cons: No vegan options, staff flip flopped on if they, actually had anything vegan

Delicious bagels

New cafe in Jiyugaoka offering mainly bagels -- most of which are vegan and with unusual taste: blueberry, curry, tropical fruits tea, spinach... I loved their mochi mochi texture !

Pros: Cheap, Most bagels are vegan
