Bomb FOOD!!! Couldn’t believe it was vegan!!! I read the reviews on Happy Cow and they were all really goood so I knew to come here. They are expensive (like the reviews before me mentioned) but it’s ALOt of food & 100% worth the money. The pasta and garlic bread are AMAZING! I had half for lunch and had to save some for later. I warmed up the rest for later and still fireee! Will be back for more. I will more than likely purchase pizza and eggplant next time!

Come For The Pasta, Stay For The Fried Mushrooms! - Edit
We’ve eaten here several times and tried a number of entrees (eggplant parm, chick’n parm, pizza, salad, fettuccine Alfredo), several sides and all were excellent. But what is the real kicker for me is the fried mushrooms. I used to love those when I was younger and haven’t had them since my pre-vegan days and these are on the money. And the ranch dressing that comes with them? Trust me, order an extra one because that stuff is gooood!

Wow! So good! - Edit
California Sunshine Pizza is sooo good. I gave this place 5 stars which is rare for me. I am picky, and absolutely loved this dish. Every ingredient is delicious, fresh, and is individually delicious without relying on heavy sauces to make them better (like so many cheat vegan dishes/recipes use). The pesto was heaven, cashew cheese was melty and yummy, the toppings were fresh. Every. Ingredient. Was. So. Good. It was my first time there, but I will be going back!

Everything vegan - Edit
Good vegan pizza, much better than Whole Foods. They have 2 sizes 10 & 14 inches about $4 difference in price. The chocolate chip cookies are good & surprisingly organic. But pricey at $4 for a small cookie.

I don't remember what it's called but there's a pizza with fresh spring mix and avocado on top and it was incredible! Julie, the owner, is a strong advocate for animal rights.

Julie Goes Green is absolutely delicious! I ordered the eggplant Parmesan sandwich, garlic bread, and truffle fries. All 3 were delicious! Be sure to ask for extra marinara and dump it on the sandwich. Can’t wait to return and try some of the pastas.

Vegan Italian/Pizza Shop is A+++ - Edit
Wow! I love Julie's! I haven't eaten plant-based forever, and admit to having loved a few meatball sandwiches in my life. In vegan land, recreating meat items can certainly be hit or miss. I am so excited to report that the meatball sandwich at Julie Goes Green is truly better than the version with the ground up dead cow flesh! Cheesy, rich, spicy, and tomatoey on a beautiful french roll. Yum times ten. Would love to have again. The pizza is delicious as well. Beautiful crust, sauce, and toppings. Definitely in the back pocket as a go-to spot. It's mainly for take-out or delivery, though, as there is only one "community style" table there to seat about 8 people in all. Friendly, helpful staff too, and some hard working pizza ovens....

I Had Higher Hopes - Edit
I really wanted this place to be good. It sounded good... I don't eat pasta and the person who took my order said pasta was the most popular, so maybe I made a mistake in my food choice. I had the California Bowl because I was trying to stay on the healthier side. Even though the cheese and sauces are plant based, I try to eat those things sparingly. These days, I expect a lot of creativity and flavor when it comes to vegan meals. My CA Bowl was like "old school" Vegetarian/Vegan style. It was brown rice with cubed plain tofu (not grilled, marinated or baked...but plain old fashioned blah tofu), cubed tomato and avocado chunks. It had a hint of interesting flavor but it was not exciting. I ate it all but will not go back. If you like basic American comfort style Italian that is plant based, this would be ok for you.

Great pizza, generous portions - Edit
Their vegan pizza is the closest tasting to non-vegan pizza that I’ve had. Absolutely delicious! They have “traditional” and non-traditional toppings to choose from, and the staff had great recommendations for toppings that they felt carried better flavor.
Read moreThe atmosphere is nice and cozy. There’s one communal table so I wouldn’t rely on being able to eat in, although it is a nice option if it’s not busy.
I haven’t tried anything other than the pizza, but while waiting for my order there were sit-down patrons who ordered pasta, a sub, salad, and the mac ‘n cheese. The portions were enormous! The food smelled delicious, and it looked like everyone was enjoying what they ordered.
The location is in a typical strip mall. Not a tiny parking lot, but limited spaces that could fill up during peak business hours.
Note that if ordering the gluten-free crust, it’s only available as a 10”. The large-sized regular crust pizza is 14”.
Pros: All vegan menu, Generous toppings and portions, Knowledgeable staff
Cons: Small location w/ only one communal table, Strip mall parking typical of LA
