Serves meat, vegan options available. Not really so veg-friendly as menu is meat-centered, BUT you can get veg Nepalese momos (dumplings), pan-fried or steamed. Also there are around 13 a la carte main veg dishes. No buffet at this location. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-3:00pm, Mon-Thu 5:00pm-10:00pm, Fri-Sat 5:00pm-11:00pm, Sun 5:00pm-10:00pm. Open Tue-Sun, closed Mon.

Bland - Edit
Jackfruit curry was potentially the blandest curry I have ever tasted. The aloo bodi tama was slightly better. 7-bean soup was fairly tasty. The naan bread (ask for no butter) was decent. Menu fairly well labeled. Overall food felt relatively healthy but didn’t hit the spot.

Garlic Tofu - Edit
Tara's rich, sticky, pungent, and sweet Garlic Tofu is one of my favorite dishes in Los Angeles. It's served without the upcharge and pretention of silicon progress.

Good Vegetarian Spiced Momos - Edit
I had read about this place on happycow and decided to try it out. I've eaten here twice so far. Here's my Tara's Himalayan Cuisine review.
Read moreThe location is on the stretch of on Venice Blvd in south Culver City dotted by a handful of Brazilian eateries. Outside the restaurant is a covered patio seating area and inside is a dimly lit, casual, intimate space. Each table features a large photograph image of a famous and majestic Himalayan mountain range.
The waitstaff looked looked Nepalese to me and were friendly. I ordered a curry lunch special along with a steamed vegetable momos lunch special. The curry was well spiced and tasty. The momos were spicy (to my surprise) and very yummy. An orange sauce is served with the momos that possibly contains dairy, so I didn't eat that. If you are vegan, please ask. The curry lunch special also comes with a small side of daal (yummy), naan bread, and rice. Under $9 each set.
Momos are round Nepalese dumplings filled with savory veggies. Tara's vegetable momos comes in either pan-fried or steamed. If you are curious, this is a good place to try them! Just know that the momos are a bit spicy.
Pros: yummy vege momos, friendly, reasonable prices
Cons: lots of meat
