Had both breakfast and dinner here! Delicious food and friendly staff, as well as the cutest zero waste shop. Had the mango bao buns at dinner and caramelised pineapple pancakes for breakfast, and both were amazing.

Small place, very cute and the food was super yummy! (Iced coffee tasted mostly like water tho.) They have a little shop with handcrafted, pricey items and a few zero-waste groceries, we didn’t buy anything but it was nice to stroll through while waiting for our food. I had the mexi bowl and cassava fries, my friend got one of the smoothie bowls and we were both filled up for a long while!

We absolutely loved the hash brown stack. I wouldn’t recommend the iced latte because it was more of iced coffee with lots of milk (so weak tasting) but the food was awesome! And refills for shampoo and stuff are such a good price.

Best breakfast on the island - Edit
I came twice for breakfast and both times I was amazed. The tofu scramble was on of the best I’ve ever had. The “feta” was also amazing on the rainbow toast. They also have lunch but I never made it for that. Also they do accept credit cards. They have a store where you can buy some vegan products as well.

Lovely little place not far from the habour with little shop in it. I had the Pasta with Pesto which was great (with a little extra salt from me) and big portion. I had one of the coconut ice-cream. I love these so much but I don't get thy they are so expensive (55k)

Juju is a vegan cafe and zero waste shop in the center of Gili Air. It’s small and closes at 4pm. The menu isn’t huge but expands from pancakes to sandwiches to salads to noodles to ice cream.
Read moreThe dumplings were excellent, the fried oyster mushroom French roll was incredible in texture, the floral kombucha was sweet and refreshing, and the ice cream bar was a sweet and substantial cool down after the meal. It was all so good!
Update:
Returned for breakfast. The Tofu scramble was ok (lots of nutritional yeast) but the bread was crumbly and peanut butter bland. The Hash Stack is great if you like potatoes onions and eggplant with salad. The green juice was so pulpy and watered down that it was enjoyable. A bit disappointing compared to the previous meal.

Hello, we are sorry to hear if you did not enjoy you experience or your food at our cafe. Regarding deliveries, as you knows Gilis do not have motorized vehicles and one of the only ways all deliveries of food/supplies/building materilas/transport of tourist are made is by using horses. We try to limit our use and aim to pick up deliveries by bike whenever possible but the island infrastructure is limited in other ways. We would love to be perfect vegans but for some transport of goods we havent figure out a better solution yet expect ordering small batches and use our bike or skooter to bring one box at a time when posssible. All the island offers for goods is very reliant on horse delivering, and althou it is no way near a perfect system, we personally really try to limit use of horses and encourags others to do so as well. We are very much open to more open questions and conversations about this topic as it is very close to our heart and gives us great deal of internal conflict, desire to find better solutions and improve our ways.
