Surprise Vegan Food! - Edit
Met friends at The Drift for a drink before seeing a show at Brooklyn Steel, first time at the bar and had no idea they had an entire vegan menu from JJs! We ordered a smash burger, mac n cheese, fried pickles and collard greens and it was all so good!! Honestly though my favorite was the fried pickles with ranch sauce, I think they were the best I've ever had, crunchy and not overly breaded. Collards were nicely smoky and burger was a tasty, seasoned beyond patty. I liked the Mac but maybe had a slight after taste of vegan cheeseness I didn't love. Atmosphere was great. Will happily come back for drinks and vegan bites again!

Unexpectedly amazing - Edit
I’m not even a big fan of mushrooms but they are doing something right over there with the hen-of-the-woods & I couldn’t get enough! My boyfriend lost his mind about the “chicken” parm special. The sides are craveable too. And, love that everything can be GF for my gluten-intolerant buddies, and it’s in a little dive bar too!
