Tiny vegan stall at Kumano Kodo trail 8 mins from Takahara view point towards Chikatsuyu-oji. Sells gluten-free cookies, scones, oranges, trail mix. Put the money in the box if owner is farming nearby.

Vegan sweets for the trail!

So you are or will be walking the Kumano spiritual trail... it’s aboit 六根清浄 (Rokkon shojo) literally “purification of six roots” in English and six roots are all the senses (see, hear, smell, flavor, feel and higher consciousness) by walking this road, chanting Rokkon Shojo over and over like a mantra, your soul will be purified and regenerated!

You can drink that running water next to the sweets stall and get some vegan stuff here because please be very aware after this little shop there will be aboit 4 hours of walking and NO phone reception all the way to Chikatsuyu oji!! Enjoy and good luck !! Something will change after this trail!!!
