Tiny vegetarian eatery that makes noodles, dumplings, rice bowls, and a small selection of ready-to-eat dishes for bento. A la carte menu on the wall is in Chinese. Food appears to be all vegan. Has a few stool seats inside for eating-in. Reported open, April '23. Open Mon-Sat 11:00am-1:30pm, 5:00pm-7:30pm.

Tiny place but tasty food - Edit
This is a tiny little restaurant serving fully vegan local food.
Read moreThe menu is in mandarin. The owner and I tried to speak via google translate without much luck but fortunately another customer stepped in and translated for me.
Tasty food and I will be going back.

Wow! So good and cheap - Edit
For 187 Taiwan dollar ($6 usd) all three of us ate good!! We got dumplings, two rice bowls with yummy veggie pork on top, and two orders of sesame noodles. It was bomb!!

Made fresh, simple and cheap - Edit
We went at night so the options were limited at this hole-in-the-wall eatery. We ordered a single 'meat' ball soup, an Angelica dumpling soup, and plate of greens. The food tasted fresh, nothing fancy in flavor, and it was pretty cheap too. The owner was lovely and despite only half a dozen chairs, it was full.

Cute place, cheap tasty food - Edit
Not fancy, but super cheap and a good bit of selection! The guy working there spoke a bit of English and was helpful with my ordering. A real hole in the wall.

Great dumplings - Edit
Lovely teeny tiny place with lovely owner. Had the miso soup with noodles (included some fake meat) which was pretty ok (miso was more sweet than salty - I was expecting the opposite but that might be just how I’m used to it).

Decent vegetarian food, cheap - Edit
A solid choice for inexpensive vegetarian Chinese food. I like the dumplings and 滷肉飯 (lǔ ròu fàn, stewed meat [substitute] rice, listed as 魯肉飯). Perhaps not as flavorful as other places.

Noodle soup - Edit
Was here July 2019. Saw this place listed on happycow and gave it a try. Here's my Ji Xiang review. It's a tiny place that's easily missed if you're not looking for it. Menu is short, and there is just a side table against one wall with a few stool seats. I got the regular soup noodle with a few water-cooked dumplings on the side. Noodle & soup was simple yet satisfying. Very cheap.

Friendly little shop - Edit
Unfortunately the business hours are quite limited, but if you are in the neighborhood it is worth a visit. They mostly do take out: a portion of rice with a selection of vegetables and mock meats. They also have a noodles soup or boiled dumplings.
Read moreThere are a few seats along the wall if you want to eat there.
Good location, very close to Ximen station.
Pros: inexpensive, location
Cons: limited business hours, limited selection
