Health Store
Part of the Jimbo's Markets in greater San Diego county. This is a large size natural food market, well organized, with all the essentials from vegetarian-friendly deli, juice bar, salad bar, fresh organic produce, nutritional supplements and vitamins, herbs, alternative care products & books, to bulk foods. The bakery is vegan friendly and includes vegan muffins and vegan sweets. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-9:00pm.

Deli Sandwiches Are The Best - Edit
Tons of takeaway vegan options at the deli, bakery, and in the quick grab case. Potato wedges, vegan chocolate cake, vegan enchiladas, vegan patties, marinated tofu, etc. The Lonestar Sandwich is vegan as is and my go-to.

Good - Edit
They have juice and hot bar which has various vegan options. They have many vegetables and fruit selections, however, can be pricey.

Incompetent Management - Edit
I've been going to this Jimbo's location for about a year, since I moved to Escondido. They've always been great, and have had a really nice selection of good quality organic food (which sometimes Sprouts lacks on) - this is the only reason they're getting two stars and not one.
Read moreFast forward to yesterday (4/17/20), I went to Jimbo's with my 7 month old son to pick up some groceries and I was told I couldn't shop unless my son has a mask on. Excuse me? First, my son is 7 months old and he won't wear a mask. Babies also can't breathe very well out of a mask, and can cause them to panic. I also don't have anybody to leave my son with, and neither do single parents with no help or spouses with partners in the military. Apparently this demographic is completely ignored when management comes up with ridiculous policies like "Everyone must wear a mask in the store, no exceptions at all". How embarrassing.
I will not be spending another penny at Jimbo's when you have management with a thought process like this. No apology will fix this, it's unacceptable.
Pros: Good Quality Organic Food, (Mostly) Friendly Staff
Cons: Incompetent Management, Poor Customer Service

Lone Star - Edit
Come try the Lone Star sandwich. I love mine on GF bread and they can make you one on several choices of bread or wraps.

Great Store, Vegan Friendly too - Edit
I had read about this place on happycow and stopped in here in June 2012. Here's my Escondido Jimbo's Naturally review.
Read moreThis is a great store. It's well-organized, well-stocked, and nicely lit. The isles are clean and I had an easy time finding all the snacks and stuff we had wanted.
We got some food from the vegetarian and vegan friendly deli and the baked goods (vegan muffins and cookies!) counter as well as a freshly pressed green juice.
This place is like a moderate version of Whole Foods Market but with more feeling of heart and like-ability and less corporate vibe. Highly recommended when in the area.

good salad bar - Edit
We have been travelling for awhile and find it a challenge to eat well while on the road. Jimbo's was a welcome sight - the salad bar has mostly organic items. We liked it so much that we went there twice in 3 days. We were also able to stock up on some staples.
