This restaurant is owned by the same woman who used to have a stall at Longhua Public Market. I went by on a Friday evening on a day when they had to fill a large catering order for 80 portions of sticky rice to celebrate the one-month birthday of a baby boy, so they estimated that it would take about 40 minutes to cook their chestnut and chickpea sticky rice (NT$100). I wasn’t in a big hurry, and I sat outside at the Wufu Made food truck pop-up that was parked on Jelishih’s doorstep. (They plan to offer more seating when the pandemic situation is no longer a threat.)
Read moreThe sticky rice tasted rather healthy and not that sticky. I loved the chestnuts and chickpeas! It’s also great that they use ceramic dishware and metal utensils for dine-in customers rather than disposable junk. I hope I get a chance to try some of their other types of dishes.
It’s too bad that they don’t have an English translation of their weekly menu announcements on their social media accounts, but perhaps Google Translate would help a little bit.
Pros: all vegan, fresh and wholesome, friendly staff
Cons: no English menu
