Fairbanks-fancy Cuban cuisine

Cute restaurant and the owner was super friendly. Their only vegan option is the organic vegetarian delight. It’s a generous serving of grilled veggies with rice and beans. The only thing we didn’t like is that there were several TVs with the news on which kind of ruined the mood.

Pros: Yummy food, Friendly staff

Cons: Ambiance (TVs)

Great flavors

Friendly staff, cozy fancy atmosphere. Never had this kind of food before and it was really good. They have salads, a organic vegetarian dish, and I had the pasta with organic vegetables. Unique and tasty.

Would be 1 star elsewhere

Eating a [censored] dinner while contemplating what fourth meal will be. An overwhelming amount of cooked baby carrots in your expensive entree? Really? Really. I mean I know I’m in AK but Jeff Bezoz and I had a great avocado the other day. Also they said music starts at 8:30 and now it’s 9:30. Still no music. A way to make me drink more? It’s working. Also the wine bottles were a ripoff compared to glasses. Weirdly opposite.

Pros: One vegan option, Black beans were good , Open late

Cons: One vegan option , Everything else sucked , A bottle of wine was more expensive per oz

Not sure it was worth it

This place was close to our hotel in Fairbanks so we decided to go. They have one vegan option, the Organic Vegetarian Delight. The food was phenomenal! The portions were a good size for someone that doesn’t eat a ton like me. But DEFINITELY not worth the price ($23!).

When we got there at 5, when they were supposed to open, no one was there and the lights were off. An employee came 5 minutes late and opened the door for us and it took even longer for the owner/manager to show up.

For someplace so expensive I would have expected it to look nicer, but the decorations looked like they cane from Goodwill and were all mismatched. There was no live music when we were there but the music playing over the speakers was good.

I probably won’t be coming back here unless they lower their price. Even though the food was good and service was great, the ambience doesn’t fit the price at all and opening late seems very unprofessional. :/

Pros: Delicious food, Good service

Cons: Expensive — not sure it was worth the price, Not the nicest location — mismatched furniture, Didn’t open when they were supposed to

Great food, awesome environment

Such a gem in Fairbanks! Great food, and the owner is so friendly and accommodating for vegans. Live jazz music Wednesday-Saturday. Highly recommend the Organic Vegetarian Delight (it’s vegan even though not labeled). They also made us a panini without cheese to make it vegan. All produce is 100% organic, and everything is gluten free with the exception of the panini.
