Limited options, vegan tax

There are very few options on the menu that can be made vegan, excluding the few appetizers that are vegan by default (e.g., edamame, summer rolls, fried tofu). Whereas other Thai places in the area are happy to make most of the noodle or fried rice dishes vegan, you're not getting that here.

For any item that is not vegan by default where they do offer an option to make it vegan, you are charged an extra $1. Not only do you get less food (i.e., egg removed), you have to pay extra for the pleasure. The food is already pretty expensive considering it's a small rural town that shouldn't act like it's downtown Seattle. $17 for fried rice is not reasonable.

Additionally, be careful with the dipping sauces that come with your appetizers. The default tamarind dipping sauce that comes with vegan appetizers is *not* vegan and you need to sub another sauce like peanut which is yet another $1 charge.

They are listed as vegan friendly, but are far from it as far as I'm concerned. A vegan can eat there, but we're obviously not welcomed customers.

3 stars because the portions are reasonable and the food tastes great.
