Enjoyed - Edit
Nice spot with attentive staff. Vegan items are clearly marked on the menu and enough choices to satisfy the veggies in our group.
Read moreI tried the Vegan Sampler and loved the flavors of the falafel and Mujadara (lentil & bean stew). The dip trio (including spinach, hummus and red pepper dips) was ok but not the highlight. Meal came with pita on the side.
Had ran out of vegan baklava when I visited.
Pros: Well marked vegan options
Cons: Quite expensive

Don’t recommend - Edit
Very over priced for what it is. I ordered 2 bowls of dip with pita for 25$ and my partner got 5 falafel and a small bowl of fried cauliflower for the same (all in all 50$ for our shared meal). Pretty ridiculous when you think about it. The falafel also doesn’t come with anything else except a tiny bowl of tahini which is pretty unusual. You basically have to order 2 things to get a full meal (see: you’re spending at least 25$),
Read moreThe food is also below average for middle eastern food. Chickpea is much better or any of the falafel stands around town that know the word vegan.
The nice thing about Jamjar was that the menu was mostly geared towards vegans I guess but wouldn’t eat there again.
Pros: Vegan friendly
Cons: Expensive, Below average food

Had the vegan platter, was really delicious, you get a selection of all vegan options on the menu, probably if enough for two if you ask for an extra pita

Favourite for date night - Edit
Love the 2 course veggie meal (which is vegan other than a piece of cheese that my partner eats). It comes with hummus and other dips, salad, lentils, falafel, and the best cauliflower I have ever had! Finish it off with baklava. The meal is a bit pricey but great for a treat!

Great Happy Hour - Edit
Came for a quick bite during their happy hour. Their service was super friendly, and we didn't have to wait to get a seat for 3. Their menu had labels as to what was vegan, which I always really appreciate.
Read moreWe had the hummus trio and the Makali (cauliflower). The Makali is to die for. Seriously, do yourself a favour and order it. My only qualm with the Makali is that the Happy Hour portion was so small. I could have eaten it entirely by myself rather than split between three people. The hummus trio was similarly really good. Came with pitas to dip in the hummus. They always offer a regular hummus, a savoury hummus and a sweet hummus. They were all excellent. The savoury flavour was tomato basil, which was heavy on the basil, but very good. The sweet hummus was biscotti. It was so unique that it did take a few tastes to get used to, but it grew on me very quickly, and ended up being my favourite.
Pros: Labelled vegan options, Delicious cauliflower

SOUP + HUMMUS - Edit
Very high quality folk Lebanese food! Many vegan options, simple ingredients. They always have a wonderful daily soup and their seasonal hummus is to die for! The service is always good, though at times a bit cold. Highly recommend especially if going out with non veg friends! Oh and their Baklava is vegan!
