Delicious and super tasty Caribbean food in Angel. So worth it. I think it is one of the best vegan restaurant I have been. The food it's beautifully presented, the portions are generous and every single dish is full of well balanced flavours. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place and fancy delicious food. I had such a great time there. Shared my meal with two women, which asked me to join to their table. Never happened to me before, but made the great experience even more better.

Rare cuisine option for vegans - service needs improvement. - Edit
Really pleased this restaurant exists. Great cuisine and some rare dishes for vegans. We had the goat curry and jerk chicken mains, all very good.
Read moreReturned a couple of times in late 2023 and as a result I reduced my rating from 5 to 4 stars. The cuisine carries this place. Two areas of improvement:
1. The service is a little slow, the staff seemed a bit detached/unfriendly.
2. Personally, I think the flavours lack a degree of depth.
But this place serves a unique niche and I will continue to visit.

Wonderful culinary experience - Edit
I had high hopes for this place based on the menu and it did not let me down. We got the codfish, the goat curry, and the jerk chicken skewers - all so well done! The codfish had a lovely fishy taste, the "goat" in the curry was tender and the curry itself was great, and the jerk chicken (potentially the favorite of the three) was delicious and came with a really tasty pomegranate green salsa. We also got the roti on the side which was fine, but nothing special.

Vegan carribean cuisine - Edit
Everyone is raving about their vegan chicken skewers so we were excited to try them... Unfortunately they didn't have any left when we ordered so we were a bit disappointed. Victim of their own success maybe?
Read moreThe waiting time was too long as well. I really think they were promoted by too many vegan influencers at the same time, and as a result they struggled to keep up with the demand. We even had our booking delayed because they were too busy in the kitchen!
It's an independent family-owned business, bringing traditional Caribbean recipes to a modern vegan cuisine. Their potential is huge but some improvements are yet to be made. Otherwise, the food we ordered was very tasty.

Oh my.
I had the "oxtail" Stew. It was so good if I wasn't so full I would have ordered it again.
Gluten Free options to choose from as well.
We asked if they are bringing out a cookbook because I want to pre-order it now.
Pros: The food was amazing., Staff were lovely.

Best Vegan Restaurant in London - Edit
I’ve been to many vegan and vegan option restaurants in London but this is the best around. Every dish is full flavour and highly creative. There is a lot to choose from on the menu in any category and extremely well priced with not a burger in sight. Excellent for any occasion the restaurant itself matches the cuisine pon display.

Pros: Food choice , Restaurant style , Location
Cons: Seems popular so advance booking is required.

With the food quality, this should be getting 5*
Read moreWonderful that there is a vegan Caribbean restaurant here. Food was good. Cocktails are too sweet. Service was fairly woeful at this price point on the day we were there. There are two rooms, probably 25 tables. It was busy but two servers covering that simply could cope. You couldn’t get a drink. They don’t seem to know the timings of approaching people for drinks, for courses etc
When they get that sorted out, it will be good.
Pros: Priced about right, Sticking to the single type, Staff were pleasant, even though over stretched
Cons: The ‘festivals’ need to be described as doughnuts, Cocktails over syrupped , Understaffed and staff don’t follow protocols

We were in a massive rush to eat so I'd have liked to take my time more here but they were really quick with the service and what we ate was really tasty! We had the "goat" curry and "chicken and gravy". Very succulent and good portion sizes!

Caribbean Dreams - Edit
After a frustrating North London derby, being the martyrs we are headed down to the rather aptly named Tolpuddle Street for a fabulous plant-based Caribbean feast sharing a goat curry main, mac’n’cheese side dish and two types of fries (regular and plantain). The curry which came with a savoury rice side was fragrant with a slight kick, and no that wasn’t the goat! The plantain fries topped with pomegranate, spring onion and mayo were also a big hit, soft rather than crispy in texture. A hugely enjoyable first vegan Caribbean restaurant experience.

Very tasty Caribbean Food - Edit
Really good food across all the dishes our party of 7 had. Very impressed. Main portion sizes were good and even at £19 each seemed okay value. The sides we had were Mac and cheese, slaw, roti and plantain fries. All delish but small for their prices! We had a range of cocktails and all were great. Decor okay, little naff, but lovely staff. Would recommend to anyone, but definitely on the more experience side.

First of all this restaurant looks really good, stylish, elegant but not stuffy, it's the kind of place where you want to go on a date, or have lunch with your friends but still feeling like you're treating yourself.
Read moreThere is a good menu, maybe some elements will be in more dishes (like bell peppers or plantain).
A special mention to the roti (flatbread) which was so delicious we had to order a second one, it comes with three sauces that are extremely good.
We decided to share tostones with tofish, which were delightful, the fried mushrooms with plantain ketchup, another recommended dish, I would have eaten one on my own! Then our main was rice with a kind of curry and tofish. We also had rice and peas. All dishes were very good but the starters stole the show for me.
We didn't have any dessert as we wanted to go to a café later.
The service was great.
Pros: Stylish and clean place, Great service

Culinary orgasm! - Edit
OMG! I literally cried when I first bit the buttermilk oyster mushrooms and hard dough bread! It was just perfection.. crunchy and spicy on the outside with a twist of lime, silky on the inside with the absolutely characteristic "meaty" taste of mushrooms. It was just Fantastic!
Read moreI thing its just great that you have these "small" plates that gives you a tiny but of heaven but also allows you to try different things so heaven is not only one!
We tried the "Caribbean pepper prawns".. absolutely incredible.. perfectly spiced and the cassava triangles are just great
The "goat" curry is heart filling, spicy and fills you up with warmth and love. It fomes with rice and peas which is the perfect complement.
We were pretty full but as good foodies, we had space for the sweet tooth and we went for the sticky ginger cake which we did not regret at all! It was just the cherry on he cake for one of the best dinners I have had in my mind!
Crowned with an amazing service, nice environment and beautiful decoration. It is a 100/10 and we are seriously thinking on how to fit another visit in out agenda or come back just to London for this restaurant

Uff, where to start??? We ordered two small plates (pepper prawns and oyster mishrooms) and one big plate (goat curry). It was so delicious that the first bite brought tears to my eyes!

The finish was a sticky ginger cake with plantain custard and pistachios to share. I usually eat just one spoon of the desert because I dont like sweet stuff, but this time, my partner had a hard time getting any bites in.
Also all the staff was just lovely and it has beautiful interiors

Caribbean Vibes - Edit
I went here for dinner during my weekend in London a few months back. I had pretty high expectations because of the high reviews and because two London ambassadors had recommended it to me.
Read moreThe first thing that struck with was the location of the restaurant. It was located right across the street of a huge parking lot next to a supermarket. Very urban and not very charmy.
As soon as I got in to the restaurant, however, I really liked the vibe. The music was rnb and songs like No Scrubs by TLC. One wall was completely covered in fake plants and flowers. The chairs were teal, almost like armchairs and very comfortable. The waiters were very good, chill and friendly.
I had the Oxtail Stew (17£). It was good but I had expected something even better. Maybe I'm just not used to Caribbean cuisine.
Jam Delish did not live up to my high expectations, but it was good and I'd be happy to go back some day.

Lovely lunch, we were stuffed! - Edit
We had a lovely lunch - ‘prawns’ with hammy (like cassava croquettes) was a delicious starter, as were the smoky ‘pork belly’ tacos. My husband had the jerk chicken burger for his main, and said it was great. I had the callalloo and codfish - it was just ok. The ‘fish’ was a bit overpoweringly fishy for my tastes, the chargrilled okra was so overcooked that I couldn’t actually eat it, the dumplings were very solid. It was fine, but I’ve had better. The staff were lovely, the ambience was sophisticated. I’d go again, but order a different main. There’s a £50 bottomless brunch at weekends - which we didn’t want as we weren’t drinking, but were told that although it’s not advertised you can have an alcohol free two course brunch menu for £25 - good to know! We had one £25 brunch, a starter and main from the a la carte menu, and four drinks, and the bill came to seventy something pounds.
