Overpriced for what it is - Edit
The food isn't bad, but it really not all that. Spending close to £20 the food doesn't come close to that level. Nice cocktails though. Manager wasnt very nice, just wanted people in and out.

Doesn't seem to encourage take away orders - Edit
Having walked a long way to this restaurant for a takeaway, I was disappointed to discover that I may have needed to wait "up to an hour" for my food to be prepared - the person on the front desk could be no more specific - because priority in the kitchen is given to customers who eat in. This might be understandable, but for the fact that they charge the same regardless of whether a dish is bought to eat in or to carry out. At around £20 for a main dish this makes for an expensive takeaway for which you may need to wait a long time.

Delicious Authentic Caribbean food! - Edit
The best all vegan place we have been to! All the food was amazing and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. The flavours popped and we were really surprised by all the options. The ambiance was ok, but the place was clean and the music set a great mood. Definitely try the "fish" tacos, and the jerk "chicken" skewer. We really had to check we were at a vegan place!! (Also the deserts were amazing!!!)

AMAZING - Edit
A must visit if you're in London!!!
Read moreThe fried chicken & gravy was amazing, so much flavour and the texture of the "chicken" was surprisingly good. My non-vegan friend really enjoyed the curried goat as well, and it was a massive portion of food.
If you do visit here, definitely get the banana cake you won't regret it 😍

A menu with many dishes that you rarely see and everything is vegan.
Read moreUnfortunately, the slaw was bland and tasteless, wouldn't order it again. The stew on the other hand was spicy and delicious - great ingredient combinations.
The place is cool for hanging out and right next to a small park (for the digestive walk).

Absolutely First Class Caribbean Food - Edit
We called in for an early Saturday evening dinner and were absolutely blown away by the flavours and presentation of the dishes. Really clear allergen awareness and plenty of gluten free options. We had small plates, sides and dessert plus drinks. Not terribly expensive by London standards too! Highly recommended to everyone!!!!

“That was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!”
Read more- my 7 year-old
Wonderful vegan Caribbean food. Among the highlights:
Fried chicken: some of the best vegan fried chicken I’ve ever had anywhere in the world.
Roti with spring onion buttery sauce: we tried the trio and immediately ordered more of this particular sauce. My kids devoured this like savage beasts.
Island fries: fantastic flavor with a tiny bit of afterburn.
Mac ‘n’ cheese with bacon: “tastes just like real bacon”, according to my carnivorous wife.
Chicken skewers: never had grilled vegan chicken before—we loved these.
Mocktails: delicious fruit flavors.
I recommend getting a reservation. Even on a Wednesday night, they couldn’t take us until 9pm.

Disclaimer(!!) - I have recommended this place to a lot of friends, who have not rated it 🙃 and some people who love it have returned and not enjoyed it as much as previously. Maybe their food is a little hit and miss? Idk! However, from personal experience (the one time I have been) the food was lovely.
Pros: DELISH cocktails , DELISH food and v aesthetic , Friendly staff
Cons: The ambience is cool but feels like a club , Hit and miss on food? Idk but worth mentioning

When we arrived at our booking time we had to wait at the bar to be seated. We were shown to our table and our drinks arrived shortly after. I ordered the curry goat, and my wife had the oxtail. The decor was done brilliantly, and the atmosphere was perfect.

Jam Delish-ous - Edit
Jam Delish is a standout, fully vegan, Caribbean restaurant that impresses on multiple fronts. The wine selection is exceptional, featuring some of the best reds I've ever tasted. Their fried chicken with mash and gravy is an absolute delight, offering a rich, satisfying taste that truly stands out. The saltfish is bursting with flavour, showcasing their mastery of Caribbean cuisine. The ambience is perfect for a romantic date or a luxurious lunch with friends, making it an ideal spot for any occasion. Highly recommended for both the quality of the food and the overall dining experience.

Amazing - Edit
One of the best vegan restaurants I ever visited. Went there with a non vegan friend who loved the food as well. We tried several of the small plates and sides plus two of the big plates, none of them was disappointing, each of them was a culinary delight. Everything was perfect, food, atmosphere, waiter. Will definitely come back next time I’m in London

Told that the service charge is not fully shared amongst the staff - Edit
1* (well, if I could - but I have to give 2*) because I was told by my server that the service charge is not fully shared amongst the staff like literally every other vegan restaurant I've ever been to in London, but is retained by the restaurant instead. You can - and should - ask for the legally-always-optional service charge to be removed and then tip your server on the card machine or in cash instead.
Read moreWe were given the above information by our server when I asked what happened to the service charge before we paid the bill. Our server was tremendously grateful when we offered to replace the service charge with a tip. The business has since disputed what we were both told at the time in a very aggressive reply that you can see below this review, denying what we were both told by the business at the time, and that none of the service charge is retained. I strongly encourage you to read the wording of this reply below.
As for the rest of the it:
Like others have said, upon arrival at our booking time we had to wait at the bar to be seated. Our drinks arrived half an hour after ordering, after our starters.
Food: the bajan codfish tacos were a big win for us both. The bacon mac and cheese was spot-on. The saltfish sushi was nice, though I didn't get any fishiness. The curry goat was in a tasty sauce, though the fake meat was a bit weird and the fried plantain was just two small slices. We had planned to share the curry goat, and we had asked for it to be served with the chillis on the side as my friend couldn't take much spice on the day - instead, it was served with extra chillis mixed in, making it inedible to my friend. We mentioned this to our server but nothing was done to rectify it. The grilled roti was oily and disappointing. The banana cake with all the trimmings was overall enjoyable - although the cake itself was a little too dense like vegan cakes from a decade ago, and my omni friend wasn't a fan of the ice cream - though I enjoyed it.
But the whole thing was a huge let-down when I asked what happened to the service charge. And the multiple personal attacks on me since, accusing me of defamation when I had merely stated in my review what the representative of the business had told us both at the time, are frankly unnecessary and distasteful. The business had my contact details from the reservation, they could instead have calmly contacted me to discuss my grievance, and corrected the information they had previously supplied.

Cons: Told service charge not fully distributed to staff

Hi Kennyp353 or Kenton Thanks again for posting another defamatory review. This is your 3rd one now, you obviously enjoy posting complete lies about our business. WE DO NOT KEEP ANY OF THE SERVICE CHARGE! IT IS PAID TO OUR WONDERFUL TEAM, apart from our GM and our Assistant manager, who served you. He stated to you that he does not get service charge, as he chose to have a much higher wage., but as he also told you, you can tip him directly or not pay the service charge. You have been told this 3 times now, but you still keep posting these lies. What you are posting is defamatory to our business and our reputation, as you know, which is why your sad self, keeps posting these lies. I also don't appreciate the personal attack on my employee, calling him mealy -mouthed. So again i have had to waste my time replying to your lies, but go on knock yourself out, and keep posting. You obviously have something missing in your life, as after being told 3 times we do not keep any of the service charge, you still keep posting these lies. And yes, please do not return, as after the personal attack on my employee, you would not be welcome back, chow!

Great vegan Jamaican food - Edit
I first visited when they were a pop-up in a pub in Soho a few years ago, so now they have their own premises I wanted to go back and see if the food was as good as I remembered. My only regret is that I didn’t have more time and couldn’t try more of the menu, because there’s so much on there that looks really appealing. Will definitely have to go back to try more dishes in the future. The dishes I did try were very well presented and full of flavour.
Read moreThe only negative is that when I was seated I was told that they needed the table back after an hour and 45 mins. I wasn’t planning on staying so long anyway and I really don’t like the way it has crept into being the norm to give diners a deadline to leave by, it seems impolite.

My first real taste of the Caribbean yum! - Edit
Loved the atmosphere, staff and most of all food. As a life long veggie / vegan later I'd never had goat curry or salted cod so was a good experience as well as very tasty! My Jamacian omni friend said it was very similar and lush. I'd def go again, but order less or go hungrier as was a lot of food.
