Lots of options health food - Edit
I was surprised to see many vegan options, salads, ready to go and deli choices. Not cheap but it's convenient.

Nothing special - Edit
None of the ready-to-eat deli options are vegan except for possibly a PB&J on white bread. There is a burrito bar where you can get a bean/rice bowl. Nothing exciting here in terms of hot food. As a grocery store it seems above average.

Everything I need - Edit
I was nervous about moving to Jackson because of the lack of vegan options but after shopping here I felt a lot better about my move. They have everything I need to sustain my healthy vegan diet!

Only game in town - Edit
I was expecting a local Whole Foods kind of store but came out slightly disappointed. I'd say this place is somewhere between your run-of-the-mill grocery store and a Whole Foods in terms of vegan/organic product selections. They carried very few organic fruits. The hot salad bar didn't even have one vegan dish, which was surprising and stopped me from grabbing dinner here. I guess they can get away with it as the only game in town.

Cons: nothing vegan at hot salad bar

Great Store - Edit
A regional healthfood store with a great selection of vegan stables like cereal grains ,legumes and nuts and seeds. There is also a huge supplement section with standard vitamin supplements to herbal extracts. There is also a cafeteria where you can make your own salad, tacos or burritoes.

Excellent source of organic and vegan foods - Edit
Seems to be the best grocer in town for stocking up on organic and vegan goods. I especially liked their fresh juice, and fresh nut butter sections, as well as the range of bulk goods.

Cons: May need a car to get there

Juice & more - Edit
This is a great and affordable place to get fresh made juice. Also a very good selection of other healthy and organic food options. Reminds me a lot of Whole Foods.

A typical independent health foods store - Edit
Jackson Whole Grocer has a fairly extensive selection, offering a variety of bulk bin products (nuts, raw treats, seeds, grains, legumes, etc.) These products are quite costly in comparison to Smith's, but this is to be expected. I am not denouncing independent ownership of a store, but nearly everything (produce, deli offerings, shelf items) is slightly overpriced.
Read moreThat being said, Jackson Whole Grocer is definitely the saving grace for those of us in surrounding small towns.
The Grocer offers a decent gluten-free and vegan selection of bars, canned goods, frozen, and shelf-stable items.
They also carry a great selection of produce, with organic items available.
Pros: Selection, Location
Cons: Price

Comprehensive health food store - Edit
This was a great find on our way into Teton. There's a deli (not all veg) which has quick wraps and sandwiches that can be customized. I got one stuffed with hummus, eggplant, mushrooms, red peppers, and basil for about $6.50.
Read moreThey seemed to have the staples. The only thing I wanted more selection in was fresh-baked vegan goods. Even so, I managed to find one or two options there.
Pros: Big, Deli
Cons: Not pure Veg
