The vegan option (miso ramen) is not vegan by default. You must request it to be vegan.
Read moreThe noodles were lame but the miso broth was good. We bought the bibimbap vegetables from the fresh prepared section to eat with the ramen and that amped it up a lot. Way more filling that way.

Vegan Ramen - Edit
I really liked the flavor of the ramen! and it was great it was labeled VEGAN, so no need to worry about unwanted stuff. The broth smelled very strong of seaweed and was miso based. Regardless it tasted great but I wish it had more veggies! I’ll probably go back for the sweet potato roll however...

Vegan Ramen inside H-Mart - Edit
There are a few restaurants inside H-Mart (which is a great grocery store for Asian vegan ingredients). Izakaya Yume serves a vegan ramen--it's even listed as vegan on the menu. lt's not as good as the vegan ramen at Wasabi in Logan Square, but it's good, and I'm always in favor of more good vegan ramen options in Chicago. Worth a visit if you're in the area. Can eat there at tables in the store, and also good as a takeaway option.
