We took a bit of a lengthy bus ride to get here but it was so worth it!!! The atmosphere was so lovely, warm and cozy. And the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Agedashi Nasu Mochi (not pictured, sorry!)

Dedicated vegan menu, delicious food & drinks, great value, and friendly staff! I highly highly recommend this place for any vegans visiting Hida-Furukawa. I would give it 5 stars if I could-- it was so good that we went twice. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu. My favorites were the tofu steak, nasu miso itame, and ochazuke. My husband loved the tsukemono steak. The daikon salad was so crisp and fresh! I don't usually drink alcohol but I really enjoyed the ume sour and apricot wine soda.
Read moreYou can sit either at the bar or at one of the low tables on the tatami mat. It was a warm and casual izakaya atmosphere and we felt very at home there.

This bar has an amazing vegan menu, great drinks, and a warm atmosphere. super nice people! you may need to make a reservation for vegan food in advance (a few hours before is fine). we are here twice and loved all the dishes we tried: fried tofu steak, daikon salad, fried cabbage, ochazuke (soupy rice), and glazed roasted eggplant. incredible!
