Very delicious! Good vegan options - Edit
Isaac’s way is located at the river and has beautiful outdoor seating with a good view. I had the vegan chickpea carbonara which was very delicious - just don’t expect a traditional carbonara. It was rather a creamy tomato sauce with veggies. For dessert, I had the coconut caramel bread pudding which was really good (but so much). They also had more vegan dishes on their menu like a Wellington or burger etc. Worth a visit😄

If I could give it 5 stars I would! - Edit
This restaurant is the best! They have a great atmosphere. They always have vegan specific items on their menu. It changes with the season. Everything I've ever had was amazingly delicious! Most recently I had the chickpea crunch burger and potato wedges and it was the best burger I've ever had, hands down. They also have vegan apps and desserts.

Cons: More pricey than most places

Great Vegan Options - Edit
I had the black bean burger, minus the gluten-free bun that was on offer since it contains eggs.
Read moreUnlike the other reviewer, I found the burger excellent, served with a house-made vegan mayo. Also, the burger was baked, rather than put on the presumably meaty grill, which I appreciated.
The chipotle tomato soup is indeed really spicy, but not a five alarm kind of spicy.
All in all a good dining experience. Excellent service.

The best - Edit
This is hands down our go to for vegan outings. This is the perfect place for all eaters with many vegan and non vegan options. Tried everything vegan and love it all.
Read moreSweet potato fries with the aioli is out of this world. Veggie samosas are SO good and the black bean burger is the go to. Husband gets the squash Wellington on special occasions cause it’s a little steep $$ but totally worth it. They recently added a few options to the weekend breakfast menu like poutine and tofu Benedict and holy [censored].. it’s incredible.
Love this place so much!!
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Affordable , Lovely atmosphere and staff

Smoked Tofu Carbonara - Edit
Had some interesting options for me (vegan) as well as my non-vegetarian husband. We both enjoyed our meals. The tofu Carbonara I had was quite tasty, with plenty of smoked tofu strips, creamy cashew sauce, cherry tomatoes and greens. I wish I could have tried the Squash Wellington, too (it sounded really good). If we had been in Fredericton more than one night, I would have gone back. Loved looking at all the art, too.

Disgusting - Edit
In the 5 years that my girlfriend have been vegan, she said it was by far the worst food she ever had. We had a "sweet potato black beans burger" but the patty was so burned, all it tasted was charcoal. It was all dark and toasted and hard to masticate. How can you serve something like this, idk. It's like they never tasted it. Plus I took the daily soup as the side dish and it was soooo spicy I couldn't eat it. You can't serve a "today's soup" that has spicy Chipotle pepper as the main ingredient. Without warning by the waitress.
Read moreThe price seemed good but for what we had it was definitely too much. Never going back.

Wow! That's harsh! I just ate at this location with my family of 6 and we loved it! The burger was fab, as was the spinach date salad, vegan carbonara pasta and squash Wellington! Sorry, very much disagree!

The Hummus of my Dream - Edit
Let's just take a minute to talk about the Avocado-Beet hummus. By far the best hummus i've ever had! Comes with fresh pita bread and lots of veggies. TO. DIE. FOR. Seriously, you have to try it to believe it.

Currently they offer four vegan main courses at supper and three at breakfast. I’m not sure about lunch, but there would be at least one vegan choiceFood and service are great.

Hit or Miss - Edit
I've eaten at Issac's Way several times over the years. When it was on the North side, at the second location on Carleton, and the new location on Queen. The one thing that I've always said about it- "It's kinda hit or miss.."
Read moreSome days I go to Issac's Way and I have the BEST meal I've had in ages and I'm served by a REALLY friendly member of the staff, and every thing is timely, and clean, and amazing.
Some days I go to Issac's Way and it takes a really long time to get food, and it's not what I ordered, and the server is grumpy, and the whole thing is just kinda 'meh'.
It's always one or the other- never in the middle.
What I CAN say for Issac's way is that they have my current favorite veggie burger in the city. It's a chickpea burger made by a local food company, and it's crispy and deliiiiicious.
I can also say that their thai tofu bowl is awesome.
The atmosphere and patio are beautiful. The place is a renovated (bank? Jail? I can't remember) in a historical building downtown. Parking can be a bit tricky, but other than that, you should find no obstacles. It's fully accessible by wheelchair, too! You can also buy the artwork off the walls, if the mood strikes you!
Give Issac's way a shot. Sometimes it's THE BEST and sometimes it isn't- but it's definitely worth trying.
Pros: Veggie Burger, Atmosphere
Cons: Inconsistent, Sometimes Slow

Great Local Restaurant - Edit
I have been here a couple of time and had the Black Bean Burger(Vegan... ask you waiter and they will and make sure it is Vegan). A great environment to sit and eat with family, friends or even a date. I never had a chance to eat at their old location before the fire but they have definitely pulled the restaurant back together.

Cons: Mainly meat options, You must say you are vegan when ordering, Busy.
