Overpriced/Bland

The portions are a good size but nothing impressive flavor wise. I much prefer Desmond’s in VB (all vegan Caribbean/Guyanese).

surprised

I'd gone to Island Krave before embarking on my vegan journey and I liked the food. I'd never checked the menu for vegan options so it wasn't even something I thought about. Now that I'm vegan I was surprised that Krave came up on the HappyCow list of restaurants with vegan options . The waitress was kind enough to let us sample their vegan fare. Though it's possible that the menu may change we sampled the yellow rice, rice and peas, cabbage, collards, and curry chick peas. Everything tasted really good. Although we didn't sample the plantains my daughter took a chance and ordered them and she loved them. The only other item on the menu that we didn't try or sample was the sweet potato fries. I recommend it if you'd like to try it and I'll be back.

in LOVE

I'm so happy I decided to find this place! First, of you enjoy Caribbean food - this place smells delicious! I had the curried chickpeas, rice and beans, collards and cabbage. They even had ginger beer to-go. The food was fabulous and I'm already scheming on how I can swing past here before flying out tomorrow.

Pros: tasty food, free parking, friendly staff

Cons: no vegan coco bread
