Schön gelegen - Edit
Zwei vegane Gerichte stehen zur Auswahl, ein Beyond Burger oder ein Chia-Kurkuma Pfannkuchen mit Gemüse und Salat. Portion ordentlich und geschmacklich gut. Die Terasse hat ausreichend Sitzplätze und einen schönen Blick auf den Rhein.

Sonderkarte mit Fehlern - Edit
Bei der Reservierung sollte man nachfragen, ob die normale Karte gilt. Wir waren an Muttertag dort und es gab eine Sonderkarte. Darauf waren 3 vegetarisch/vegane Gerichte,auf Nachfrage allerdings keines wirklich vegan. Nach langem Diskussionen erhielten wir den veganen Burger von der normalen Karte. Dem war allerdings deutlich anzumerken, dass der Koch keine Lust auf Extras hatte (was die Bedienung auch schon mitteilte). Brötchen ungetoastet, Käse kalt, lieblos angerichtet. So wird man Gäste auch los.

Hard to make a choice among the numerous vegan options on the separate vegan menu! I had the chia seed pancake with grilled vegetables and a side salad, all of which tasted really good. I sneaked a taste of my companion´s vegan ice-cream - the two ice-cream scoops tasted fruity and flavourful but the whipped cream scoop tasted simply awful. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. I hope to go back in the summer to enjoy the river view.

Good vegan options - Edit
The Insel Bastei is located at the beautiful Park Island in the Rhine. The restaurant is a bit more noble and a bit pricey. But the quality of the food is really good and the portions are not too small. Futhermore they have really good service. They have lots of different, clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian options on the standard menu and on the daily menu. I had the Pasta Wintertraum with chestnuts and figs, a small salad and vegan ice cream with vegan whipped cream. Everything except the vegan whipped cream tasted very good.
