Must try if you’re in London - Edit
Seriously the best food ever. Right off the Angel stop, this Indian restaurant is ALWAYS a buffet, all vegetarian, labels everything with vegan/veg and encourages you to bring your own alcohol for free. Super cheap (less than 9£) for a solid meal. They also give free meals to the homeless daily. Check it out

Cheap but just ok food - Edit
The food was fair but mostly lukewarm. It’s just ok for the relatively affordable price.

Rare decoration, tasty food - Edit
In the 100% vegetarian all-you-can-eat buffet there is a wide selection of vegan food as well, clearly marked. 3-4 types of fresh salad to choose from. The walls are decorated with pro-vegetarian promotional materials all over the restaurant, which is quite unique. You can bring your own drinks, which keeps the cost of your meal low.

Fills you up but - Edit
Quality is not great - and might be luke warm. If you’re strapped for cash it’s fine and I love the ethos but they could bother a bit more about the quality of food.

Hit and Miss - we wont be returning. - Edit
I have been here three times and each time it goes more downhill.
Read moreI'll start with the few good points –
• It's all vegetarian, no meet here! A couple of dishes have paneer but everything is labelled. Once my partner accidentally put the non vegan curry onto his plate and the staff did not mind at all when he had to go and apologise and ask for a fresh plate.
• You can bring your own drinks which helps to keep the price low, I think it is meant to be just alcohol you can take, but they have never said anything about us taking our own soft drinks in.
• The décor is interesting. Lots of things on the walls to read while you eat.
And the not so good..-
• It isn’t the cleanest – the restaurant was quiet but there were lots of tables with dirty plates left on then. We had to brush the other peoples old food from our table before we sat down.
• The food is average – I don’t think you ever expect the food to be excellent at an all you can eat buffet, but it really isn’t that great. For instance – I couldn’t tell any difference between the ‘mixed vegetable curry’ and the ‘aloo and peas’. Everything is very oily and bulked out with lots of potato. The fried things like bhajis and pakoras are hard and greasy.
• Go at the right time – we went at 5pm on a Sunday and lots of the curries were running low. There was no bread/chapatis/naans and we were told there wouldn’t be a restock until 6.30pm. It felt like we were eating the leftovers from lunch time, but still paying the normal price.
• The price has gone up every time we have visited - £6.95, £7.95 and now £8.95. It used to be good value for a nice meal.. but unless you are going to pile your plate high and have many sittings, it no longer offers good value for money.
• They do not accept card payments – cash only.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience and we won’t return. There are too many other good, cheap, vegan options available now in north east London that I can’t imagine this long running establishment will last much longer unless it makes some improvements.
Pros: All vegetarian, Bring your own drinks, Interesting decor
Cons: Poor food, Not good value, Not a clean environment

Cheap All You Can Eat Indian Buffet - Edit
Cheap food, bad service. Would recommended as the food was very affordable but don't expect too much in the way of service - my partner and I, despite being the only people in the restaurant for around 30 minutes, were paid no attention and felt a little awkward and uncomfortable. It's also silent in there, which was weird, some background music would be a welcome addition.
Read moreIt's £8.95 for all you can eat - lots of carbs, salads, fried sides and curries. They also offer BYO for no extra charge.
Pros: The Price , Location , Decor - Lots of veggie quotes on the walls
Cons: No ambience , Bad service

Love it! - Edit
I used to go there all the time when I was vegetarian, but then when I became vegan, I became weary of Indian food because of ghee.
Read moreI visited this place today after over 3 years and all I can say is that I wish I'd gone there sooner!
The food is awesome and clearly labelled as vegan - most of the food there today was suitable for vegans, other than just two dishes with paneer.
I'll be going back again very soon!

Decent food but you could do better - Edit
Lots of crazy words all over the place extolling the virtues of vegetarianism and whatever else the owners want to promote (not drinking cold water is one of them... Apparently cold water causes cancer). It's an experience. The food itself is fairly mediocre and is now £8.95, so you can probably do better elsewhere.

All you can eat buffet - Edit
This place is cheap (if you have a big appetite) and cheerful. The food was pretty average for an Indian/South Indian restaurant and there is no bhel poori! However, it is all you can eat, so if you are hungry you could eat a lot for £7.95. The decor is interesting, but it can be a little disconcerting to read about health problems while you eat! (ie: it’s destroying your body to drink cold drinks ... while you sip the beer you brought with you!) Almost all the food was vegan, so that was nice. But I wouldn’t rush back.

sublime. A London institution. - Edit
Fantastically informal, cheap, trashy buffet diner with great food for the price. The semi-accurate propaganda is great fun, and their news clippings are a treasure to discover and explore. One of my favourite restaurants in london - I used to eat here several times a week.

Indian Veg Bhelpoori House - Edit
The food was bathed in oil. All fried with poor hygiene. Being a vegan in a 100% vegetarian restaurant, it was disgusting to see the cashier/owner eating a chicken drumstick at the counter. I could not eat anything after imagining whether the food was prepared in a non vegetarian kitchen.

delicious and good value! - Edit
Delicious buffet with lots of dishes including curries, salads, daal, pakoras etc and everything clearly labelled as vegan/not. So yummy and good value - £7.95 I think after 5pm or I think it was £5.95 before then. Will definitely return!!! Also had a yummy soy mango lassi - never thought I'd have one again since being vegan but it was freshly blended and tasted so good, it cost £2.95. Staff were helpful and friendly :)

OK, so the food options are really badly labelled, the staff don't seem to be very happy, but I LOVE this place. The walls are covered with pro-animal-rights propaganda which is very entertaining. And the food is delicious and very reasonable. Plus they also feed homeless people for free.

only two dishes from the whole buffer were not vegan. so lots of choice.
Read morenot really sure what to say as it was a real poor show. I'm really not sure how there are so many positive reviews.

Very good and a great bargain - Edit
I'm from the States and here on a study abroad. I was pretty thrilled when I saw the sign for an all-you-can-eat vegetarian buffet at such a low price and within walking distance to where I'm staying nonetheless. I decided to go in for tonight and was not disappointed. Almost all of the dishes were vegan, so naturally, I got a bit of almost everything there. Most of the dishes are clearly marked with what they contain, the ones that were not marked were pretty clearly vegan (vegetables and stuff). It was all very flavorful and I was certainly satisfied. The area is a bit tight, so be mindful of that, but it was fine by me (what cheap restaurants aren't crammed in London?). The decorations on the walls prevented me from getting bored and I learned some fun facts. There are some beverages for sale too, and you are allowed to bring your own (it seemed that most people did). I only have a week left in the UK, but hopefully I'll have the chance to come back.
