Ok. Nothing special - Edit
Service was friendly and quick but they seemed keen to close.
Read moreIt was 9.30pm and they close at 10pm.
Not a lot of paneer and the sauce was either from a jar or was pre-prepared.

Decent Indian Thali - Edit
Decent Thalia with great tasting potatoes, spinach and curry. Dosage could have been a bit crisper and idli seemed old. Sweet was unimaginative. They did accommodate vegan which perhaps made difference in flavors. We corrected check which came at half expected amount but then felt annoyed at then being charged surcharge.

Cons: Restroom could use some deeper cleaning and paint

Very good Indian restaurant - Edit
Indian temptation is a friendly veggie/vegan restaurant in the centre of Bath. Mostly a veggie restaurant but it has lots of vegan options and has a specific vegan menu so ask for that. I had the spicy broccoli as starters and the masala dosa as a main and they were both very flavoursome. The food is also quite good value for money so I will definitely visit again if I’m in this area.

Great Authentic Indian Food - Edit
Update March 2024 - visited again before a gig at the Forum and had another amazing meal, I can still highly recommend.
Read moreI loved my meal here. There are many authentic south indian options on the menu like Dosa and Idly along with a few of the more english favourites. They have a seperate vegan menu which has a lot of choice. The food turned up quick and was all to a very high quality, none was greesey and it all tasted very fresh, I can most recommend this place, especially the Aubergine dish (baigan), dosa and idly!

Best bombay aloo - Edit
We love this place! It was our second visit, after holidaying in Bath a few years back- this time with arrived with our 18month old. It was the Bombay Aloo that pulled me back... Who am I kidding?! This dish was the reason I booked another trip to Bath. I was hesitant if the food would live up to my memories, but it most certainly did! Not only was the food delicious, the staff were incredible. It was a relatively quiet weekday lunch and our son decided he was in no mood to sit and eat. They gave us colouring bits, said it was no problem if he wanted to walk around the restaurant and even offered to hold him whilst we ate. By just being welcoming and understanding that toddlers don't like to sit still most of the time they made the lunch stress free! Only downside is they don't have highchairs but offered us a booth to accommodate toddler better.

Good food but some policies regarding behaviour to customers should change - Edit
We are new to bath , A family of four, once we found this restaurant weekly once or twice visit Indian temptation, met owner once, he was good, but yesterday we had a bad experience with one of their staff. Me and my daughter refused to have dinner. He asked how many people are there. We say two then he directly said no seats for two. He could politely ask to book a time or ask to wait until seats are available. Actually there was three or four tables vacant. Owner should think about once rejected anybody dare to go such a place. We feel they have no respect for customers.

Lovely Indian dishes - Edit
Plenty of great Indian food options, ranging from curries, dosas and thalis. Fully vegetarian but with a separate vegan menu. The restaurant is super cosy and was very busy & popular when we visited. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. I would say the only downside was that it was a bit cramped in, but that’s obviously just a sign of how popular they are, and some of the curries were very sauce heavy with not a lot of vegetable in them, but they were totally delicious.
