My girlfriend and I love Indian food, and we thought this would be a perfect break from all the pizza and pasta. The menu on the outside of the restaurant showed a lot of vegetarian and vegan options.
The restaurant is very small, with about five tables inside. This is the only Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to without any sort of decorations on the walls. The walls we’re bright blue plaster, and the ventilation system was clearly visible. It also did nothing to hide the myriad of flies flying around inside the restaurant. The guy on the next table over actually sat and squatted flies while he was waiting for his food. There were A LOT of flies.
The menu at the table had a full page of vegetarian options, even more than the one outside. I had dal soup for a starter, and it was pretty tasteless. It tasted like it might have been made previously and reheated. My girlfriend had the mixed vegetables, which were okay, and I had the mushroom masala. None of the dishes came with rice, and the waiter did not ask if we wanted any. We ordered it after our dishes had arrived at the table, and we could clearly hear the rice being cooked in the microwave oven. My fish consisted of what was sure canned mushrooms, bell peppers and spices. The garlic naan was completely dry and obliviously not fresh.
The staff never asked us how the food was, didn’t seat us or ever even smiled at us. We had to approach the counter to ask for the check, even though there was only us and one other couple in the restaurant at that time.
Nice variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes - Edit
Located near the sea, this restaurant offers a lot of vegetarian choices for starters and mains, many also vegan. The variety is bigger than in most others Indian restaurants, some well known dishes but also several I had not seen in other places. It seems to be the only Indian place in the whole area.
Also very fair prices, we had a bill of €25 for 2 starters, 2 main dishes, 2 drinks and 2 breads. The waiter disappeared at some point but it was possible to pay inside. Coperto is €1 each.
I can definitely recommend this place.
