Restaurant is now called Ness Mahal - Edit
Name changed for legal reasons according to manager. This is a busy restaurant so book beforehand. Food well presented. We had veggie curry and veggie madras. Veg was well cooked and well spiced.

I would give 6 stars if i could!! Arrived tired and late from traveling and saw they had a good selection. There are 30 vegetarian items, 25 of which are also vegan. So many choices! I wanted a little spice so I tried Vegetable Dansak - it was amazing. Sweet and spicy! It had avaried selection of veggies including broccoli, potato, beans, zucchini, squash and pineapple. The atmosphere is lovely and clean. The staff was very nice. They are in no hurry to bring the check but so far this is consistent with Scotland in general.

I got the small potato and cauliflower one and the yellow lentils one with vegetable rice. It was great, you can see all the fresh vegetables they have used.

Best Indian restaurant - Edit
I spent two years living in Inverness and Indian Ocean was my fav restaurant. Lovely staff, and food is amazing (I miss it so much) So if you visit Inverness, you MUST go to Indian Ocean.

New menu has vegan and vegetarian options clearly marked with lots of options. The food is delicious and the staff are always friendly, helpful and welcoming. My favourite place to eat in Inverness! Love it! 😆

I called Indian ocean and asked for vegan options. They spent time on the phone suggesting items and making vegan dishes accordingly.
