Serves meat, vegan options available. Another Indian restaurant with vegetarian/vegan options including a page of curries, breads, and entrees. Specify vegan to waitstaff be ensure meal comes out vegan. Open Mon-Sun 5:00pm-10:00pm.
I recently ate here and the food was very nice. Of the vegetarian options, 5 of the curries were able to be adapted to vegan on request, giving us a good range of options. There were also 2 vegan entrees available and the roti was also vegan.
We did have to ask what was available as vegan, as the menu was not clearly marked. The staff were friendly, but some of the staff was more knowledgeable about the vegan options than others.
In the end, we had:
Entree: papadums & vegetable pakoras
Main: Mixed vegetable curry (med), Aloo Gobhi (Med-Hot), rice and roti.
We ordered two veg curries and checked they could be made with no dairy but they came out with butter in them. I don’t think the server understood what dairy meant. When we asked them if there was butter in the curries they were very apologetic and replaced them. Suggest saying specifically what you don’t want in the curry; no milk, cream, butter, ghee, etc. The roti was nice.
In Albury for a couple of days so I thought I'd give this place a try...and it was worth it. The staff were knowledgeable about which dishes are vegan or could be made vegan and also ensured that any sauces were also vegan. I had vegetables pakoras and veg curry with rice which were both large portions and unusually for me it was too much to eat. Definitely worth another visit.
