Best vegan food - Edit
I ate here at least 4 times if not more while I was in port barton, I preferred it over mabuti. That’s just my person preference.
Read moreI had the tofu and broccoli with rice and other veg. It was great tasting and came out fresh and fast
I also had the tempeh steak. It’s my FAVOURITE thing on their menu comes with some veg and rice.
Soooo nice.
I also had the mixed veg with garlic which is so tasty.
This place is a must for your vegan and vegetarian food while in port Barton.
The staff are so friendly and nice, chill music and atmosphere super close to the beach and in town.
Love this place and hope they feed so many people!!!!
Thank you for feeding me while in port barton.

A little underwhelmed, but cute place - Edit
This place is really cute w/ a little cat roaming around and nice staff - however we unfortunately ordered a few dishes which were a bit disappointing and tasted quite bland (mixed veggies, empanadas, curry). Maybe we ordered wrong?
Read moreThe best (and tbh only “wow”) dish was the tempeh fries - so crispy and hot w/ a yummy dip! We also had a smoothie (banana and carob) which was icy, but tasty.
If you’re here for a while - deff support this little restaurant, but if not, choose your restaurant wisely....
Pros: Lovely staff/owner?, Cute cat running around , Tempeh fries on point
Cons: Most dishes tasted bland and a lil boring

Mediocre food - Edit
Although I was happy to hear that all of their dishes could be made vegan, I wasn’t impressed with their cooking. The appetizers were a bit odd: the tortilla chips weren’t crispy enough, possibly because they were just cut up tortillas that were half-baked and left unsalted. The roasted pepper, mango, and corn salsa (190 pesos) that came with them was decent but quite plain. The vegan vegetable burrito (185 pesos) was structurally unsound and needed to be eaten with utensils. The cashew cheese on it had no binding effect whatsoever, which didn’t help. It came with taro chips and salsa, which was all right. The vegan sausage fajitas (195 pesos) had the most interesting flavor of everything we ordered, and I appreciated that they served purple rice rather than the white rice that is much more commonly served in most Port Barton restaurants. I also ordered the Imas Blend smoothie (175 pesos), which was carob, mango, and coconut. Not my favorite, but it was okay.
Read moreNo one else was there on a Friday at 12:30, which was probably a sign that this place isn’t all that impressive.
Pros: all dishes can be vegan, healthy, includes a glass of water per person
Cons: bland

Great options for vegans! - Edit
We ate there twice, just after arrival to Port Barton (before taking the boat to our destination) and just before leaving. We didn’t have much time and we received the food really fast. The staff is nice and friendly, the food tasty and there are lots of vegan options.

Excellent options for Veggie & Vegan - Edit
Really nice little place that has lots of varied choice for vegans and vegetarians.
Read moreI tried the sausage fajita, it was actually a rice dish which I wasn’t expecting but was really good.
I went back the next day and had the tofu burger and that was really yummy, it’s in two slices of toast rather than a bun though!

So good we kept coming back - Edit
The teriyaki tofu and tempeh burger were really good. You might want a side dish if you’re starving though but we recommend the place.

Best WFPB Food on Palawan - Edit
We've eaten at the Puerto Princessa location as well, but ordered different items. It's great that the food isn't really oily, like a lot of vegetable dishes in the PH, but they do go a bit heavy on salt in some dishes (e.g. tofu broccoli) and sauce for our taste (enchiladas, tofu broccoli, burger). Tempeh 'burger' was served on toasted bread instead of a bun (might have ordered something else if I'd known; shown on a bun), the patty was mushy to me and the lettuce was right next to and under the patty, so it was wilted. The kitchen forgot to make the Spanish coleslaw vegan, but we're not super-strict so when they informed us, we said it was fine and it ended up being such a fave that we ordered a second vegan one. The banana flavour is strong in the Imas blend smoothie, just a heads-up if you're turned off by bananas. The ginger tea is made fresh, was unsweetened, and was nice and spicy, just how I like it.
Read moreRestaurant was pretty busy when we were there, considering it was mid-week, middle of the afternoon and not the busy season yet (though the rough seas and cancelled boat tours may have contributed? 😂)
Although we didn't enjoy our food selections this visit as much as what we chose in Puerto Princessa previously, we still really enjoyed our stop in the clean, open-aired restaurant. Friendly, attentive staff. Kudos to Imas for offering such a variety of whole food plant-based options in the meat-focused Philippines. 👏🏽
Pros: Entirely vegetarian and veganizable menu, Whole food plant-based (whole grain, minimal oil), Affordable most items
Cons: Too much sauce/salt for our tastes , Avocado out of season; whole town, stated on menu

Tempeh steak 😍 - Edit
I had the tempeh steak which was delicious, we also had the spicy bean burger, tempeh fries and mixed veg with garlic - however I found these a little bland. I would go again purely for the tempeh steak. Vegan options aren’t marked but most things are vegan or can be made vegan. Portions were small so I’d order sides as well

Great vegan food!!! - Edit
This place has a great menu with a lot of vegan options. We ate the bean burrito and the tempeh steak (this dish comes with a mix of wild and white rice, very tasty!) and also the enchilada. Service was great, owners are really kind. If you're vegan, you should definitely give this place a try!
