Very tasty and creative sushi! - Edit
The sushi and starter were very yum and creative, it is plant forward with most of the meat replacements made from plants i.e. heart of palm, mushrooms etc. I did think it was a tad expensive for the food but good for a cute date night. Of the starters the prawn toast was great and both sushis we tried were nice: black cod and the eggplant.
Read moreWe asked if we could sit inside but was told it was fully booked but found that when we sat, ordered, ate and left the same tables were still free. I would probably suggest that they work out their tables and timing but other than that lovely staff and space

Wow - Edit
Amazing vegan sushi, with the perfect staff. Really worth heading here on an empty stomach so you can try everything. Loved the ‘prawn’ toast, and the deep fried sushi roll. We did the set menu and was more than enough sushi for the two of us.

I wanted to love it - it was fine! - Edit
I went with my friend and partner so we were able to have a few different things. My partner loved her katsu curry, and we shared gyozas which were great and crispy. My friend loved her fancy roll, and my maki were pretty good. I was a bit disappointed the only vegan dessert option was mochi, and they didnt seem to have a diet soda, but it was okay. The place was small and absolutely filled up after the first hour they were opened, so around 1:30 on a sunday.

Amazing - Edit
Firstly, I loved the vibe. The staff are attentive and really feel like they want you to have a good experience. We had the takoyaki, sesame toast, and tofu to start. Delish! The sesame toast was my fave. For sushi, the gochujang one was my favourite. I even liked the sake and I'm not an alcohol fan. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to try Japanese cuisine

Ultimate sushi and customer service! - Edit
Hard to imagine how this place could get any better really, from the warmth and enthusiasm of the waitress to the sublime food. Pretty much everything is vegan and clearly labelled where it is not. We had the set menu, which included 4 starters, 4 types of sushi roll, a dessert (to share) and yuzu sake.
Read moreWe couldn’t fault any of it, and really everything was the best bit of the meal, that’s how you know you’ve had a good time! Go here and eat at once. You will not be disappointed (unless you’re really really really really really fussy).
It’s quite pricey (for us), the set menu is £45 pp, but it felt worth it.

Never imagined I could eat sushi THAT good! Me and my non vegan friend shared the aubergine roll (which was our favourite) the crab deep fried roll which was also delicious and the tofu mountain. We both enjoyed everything and can't wait for our next London trip to try the other rolls.

The most delightful find. The menu was really interesting, the food was all incredible and the service was exceptional. Most of the menu is vegan and everything is well labeled in terms of allergens. I’m not a London local but I will definitely head straight here next time I’m in town!

Most amazing sushi ever!! - Edit
Absolutely amazing food with a wide variety of majority vegan food, with a couple of vegetarian ones too! The presentation was immaculate and good came pretty quickly. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it inside too which is always a bonus😄the staff were also incredibly friendly and there was no detail spared - they even went to extra lengths to make my meal special (and they succeeded) because it was my birthday!

Wonderful vibe, fabulous food - Edit
We went there as a post-graduation treat and boy were we treated! Gorgeous food, lovely host, baby friendly and all with very flattering lighting. Thank you IMA for creative, beautifully presented food that was just as enjoyable to eat as it was to behold! It would have been fab to have tried some desserts too, but we'll hope for that next time. All in all couldn't have asked for more - they even took a Polaroid for us! Very much recommend 💗

Amazing sushi. Disappointing brownie - Edit
My daughter booked for my pre birthday treat, as I was visiting for the weekend. We started out with cocktails which were OK, but didn’t live up to expectations of ‘edible flowers and herbs’ - a few small, dried petals and a tiny piece of thyme.
Read moreThe sushi was amazing and the choice extensive. We chose all vegan things. Everything was delicious and I would recommend trying as much as you can!
The place is beautifully and simply decorated and creates an atmosphere of relaxed calm.
My son in law and 2 year old grandson joined us. We all enjoyed it immensely.
As it was a special occasion, I ordered the chocolate and raspberry brownie, there were no raspberries available and I was served a very disappointing, small, dry chocolate rectangle of ‘cake’.
Such a shame to have this as a last impression of the food, as the sushi is so beautifully artistic and tasty.
Pros: Presentation and taste of sushi
Cons: Disappointing ‘brownie’.

Best vegan sushi find in London! - Edit
Surrounded by the incredible vibe of Exmouth Market, IMA is THE place if you’re looking for amazing sushi and a great evening out! The standard is really high, and you can try vegan “lobster” and “crab” sushi which I haven’t seen elsewhere, not to mention deep-fried rolls (yum)! Jessica was an incredible host, and I really hope her little business here is a success (please support her)! Menu is mostly vegan with only a couple of items not being (they are vegetarian though); one vegan dessert.
