Yummy and cheap (for NYC) - Edit
Had vegan Philly cheesesteak and curly fries and it was awesome, definitely not the healthiest but it was cheap for NYC and filled me right up, reliable spot for sure.

Avoid the cake - Edit
I can’t speak to the other food, but the carrot cake tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a month.

Really liked my experience here - Edit
The reviews had me a little wary, but I had a very enjoyable meal here. I ordered takeout on my way to LGA and the food was ready in a flash.
Read moreI started with the Vegan City Boy Breakfast Sandwich and it was very good. The bagel was crisp on the outside, but chewy inside. The toppings paired very well together. I added on some curly fries and they were nice and crispy. I topped off the meal with a piece of Oreo cake and I was given a very generously-sized slice!
To top it off, prices were very fair for NYC food and service was friendly, so I would absolutely come back again!
Pros: Yummy vegan options, fast & friendly, reasonable prices

It’s a bodega and it’s cheap - Edit
I’m so glad this place exists I feel like we single handed my are keeping them in business lol, we get delivery from here like once a week min. If you want a becspk and you’re vegan, you can get it and your non-veg friend can get a non-veg one too. It’s unpretentious and for the people, rock on ikraveit 🤘they don’t always have everything and one time we ordered special k and then sent cranberry juice which was out of pocket but it’s consistent with their sandwiches

Vegan breakfast sandwiches delivered - Edit
I had never gone here prior to covid but came across it on Seamless while searching for tofu cream cheese. I have only gotten breakfast sandwiches and juices but I have been really happy with it. As far as I know it is the only place in Astoria with vegan breakfast sandwiches other than bagels with tofu cream cheese. Also got vegan ice cream delivered.

I get their simple vegan breakfast sandwich at least 3 times a week, and we just ordered their vegan burger and threw in some pop-tarts for good measure. Love them.

Love this place - Edit
It’s not fully vegan but they have a great vegan menu and it’s growing by the day. If you’re not sure what to order get the Vegan Philly Seitan sandwich (or wrap). They have the impossible and beyond patties. Now they have breakfast sandwiches too.
Read moreThey offer a bunch of vegan desserts (the whoppie pie - cookies and cream or peanut butter you will not regret) and van leeuwen ice cream! If you’re staying in and want comfort food this is my recommendation!
Pros: Reliable, Vegan menu is expanding
Cons: Not fully vegan

Late night vegan sandwiches - Edit
A solid selection of vegan sandwiches. My go-to is the vegan rocky balboa, which is basically just tofu in marinara sauce with melted vegan cheese.
Read moreSure, it’s just a bodega with basic deli sandwiches, but it’s the only place in the neighbourhood where you can grab some hot vegan food for under $10 at 2am.

BEWARE!!! - Edit
Found a piece of grilled chicken in my seitan philly sandwich. Also really inconsistent, I ordered a beyond burger and the first time it was delicious, crispy and really well made. The second time it was just a crazy mess, uncooked with unmelted pieces of (hopefully vegan) cheese. But I wouldn’t trust this place ever again. They obviously don’t give a [censored]

Dead animal parts everywhere - Edit
This place offers vegan options within a surrounding environment full of dead animal body parts.
Read moreExpect to have your delicious plant based food prepped with shared utensils and side by side on the same stovetop with slabs of flesh.
A great place to go if you want to see 20 hacked up animals just before being served your vegan food.
Pros: Vegan Options on a non-vegan Menu
Cons: This place doesn't care about animals at all.

Delicious vegan options - Edit
I was pretty impressed with the vegan options here. Got a jerk flavored Seitan vegan sandwich that was incredibly delicious. They also had beyond burgers. Vegan cheese, mayo, milk, tofu, seitan, Beyond burgers and muffins. The sandwiches are pretty creative and aren’t your typical health food, vegan sandwich. They’re pretty fatty and satisfying. The ambiance is a bit lacking. You eat in the grocery section, but the food is good enough to not mind it. They also have vegan ice cream, muffins, complete cookies and other things in the grocery section. Pretty impressed by this little convenience store that actually has really good food.
