Lots of vegan options - Edit
Ikea in Osaka now has plenty of vegan-friendly options like plant based soft serve ice cream on the first floor bistro as well as entrees and snacks (curry, fried soy meat karaage etc.) at the restaurant. Also sells plant based instant cup noodles and frozen “plant balls” on the first floor.

Vegan food is on the 1st floor - Edit
Swedish food market on the 1st floor sells frozen vegan balls (Huvudroll). These are also sold at the restaurant but the entire meal is NOT vegan (mashed potatoes and sauce include milk). From Bistro (1st floor) can find plant based soft ice cream and veggie hot dogs. Look for the green label that says プラントベース (plant-based).

Don’t go there for the food! - Edit
I read that there are many vegan options at Ikea, so I went there with high expectations. (Not for shopping, just for food) It was very disappointing. There was no meatballs, not in the frozen section and not in the restaurant. The cafeteria has no vegan options at all and the labeling is not clear. There were veggie fritters but they are not vegan, the rest was just meat.
Read moreAt the bistro they have Hot Dogs and banana ice cream. But the cream was sold out that day.
My conclusion: go there if you need something from Ikea, not for the food! It’s a waist of time.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: very limited vegan options , No clear Labeling, Can be sold out

Such a welcome surprise! - Edit
The most 2 recent visits to this ikea cafeteria (near the exit) I’ve stumbled upon multiple items plant based that are not only available & convenient.. but damn cheap and delicious!! ¥100 for a small vege hot dog you can top to your hearts content with sauerkraut and pickles, ¥80 plant based banana ice cream, plant based berry parfaits ¥180. Amazing.
