Plant-based items hit the spot

I enjoyed the vegetable ball meal in the restaurant. The plantball meal served at the bistro is a winner, although the cream sauce is not plant-based. I also enjoyed the veggie dog. The food hits the spot and not the wallet.

Vegetable balls are tasty, made from mostly whole food ingredients, and they quickly cook from frozen in the microwave.

Apparently I LOVE Swedish Meatballs

Recommend? Yessss.

This is not an all vegan establishment. The items I ordered are vegan.

Swedish meatballs - this comes with mashed potatoes, lingonberry jam/sauce, and meatball sauce. I liked this so much more than I thought I would and especially for the price, it's like 1/3 of what normal vegan food costs. The meatball is small so a one biter and isn't dense. There is a chew to it. I like the combination of savory and then a bit of that sweet lingonberry sauce. The mash potatoes was surprisingly good as well. It's smooth, thick, and just a little creamy. For a budget food court I have to say they did really well.

Veggie dog - this is just a plain "Noooooooope" from me. I didn't like it at all because it was nothing resembling a dog. I was hoping they had figured out some magical potion to make a cheap vegan dog that resembled the ones at concession stands.
