In the cute town of Kastoria there are a lot of choices for regular eaters. But as a vegan with a regular eater in tow Idees was the only choice. We had lunch the first day and returned every day thereafter (once twice in one day) for dinner, breakfast (amazing pancakes) or just decadent dessert mid afternoon. We both LOVED not only the amazing food and variety of choices, but the overall package.

We came here for dinner because I read about the vegan options online. And we were not disappointed! From the vegan mezes we tried the mushrooms cooked in ouzo and the fava beans with capers and walnuts, and they were very tasty - especially the mushrooms. Then I had a vegan burger with a salad on the side and I must say that this was one of the best vegan burgers I've ever had. It was juicy, flavorful, full of texture and character, and just the right size for dinner. The service was quick, friendly, and the setting is atmospheric. We would definitely come back again if we are in the area in the future!

We had the vegan calzone with vegan cheese, mini mushroon bruschetta-style, giant beans with tomato sausce and pita and a salad.
All very delicious and curated.

This could be a good place, but... - Edit
Several vegan options are available: salads, falafel, pizza, calzone and pancakes. Pizza and calzone tasty (both gluten-free versions). The menu is easy to read. The big problem for me is the combination of restaurant and gift store that sells natural fur accessories. But probably all places in Kastoria are related to the fur industry. Another big minus for the fact that the restaurant is open a very long time but the kitchen does not work all day. I was there on Sunday after 6 pm and the dishes were not available at all. There is a lack of clear information. So if you are lucky you will eat good pizza, if unlucky you will leave hungry.
