Excellent Food - Excellent Service

I enjoyed my food. I ordered the Crispy Tofu Delight and the tempura sweet potato sushi. The food was delicious and just what I needed to satisfy my appetite after a busy day. They accommodated dietary restrictions well. I hope to visit again soon.

Stay away, awful

Previous reviewer nailed it. Same experience here: slow to no service, poorly marked vegan items.
My veg curry came w fish sauce (even though says on menu 'vegan option available') and other dish we ordered was full of egg. Go elsewhere, much better options.

Pros: Miso soup was good

Cons: Fish sauce in most everything , Poorly labeled menus, Unknowledgeable servers

Not impressed

What a disappointing visit. I had been wanting to try this place for awhile, having heard they had a separate vegan menu. Now there are new owners and the menu is not the same. It is confusing to read and no separate vegan menu. Service was non-existent. We were seated at the bar and waited for at least 10 minutes before the server came over. She did not check on us at all and they forgot my meal entirely until we pointed it out and my husband had received his meal. Drinks were not refilled. Food was so-so and not worth the price. We won't be back. Ambiance was nice though. A shame!

Yum!

Woa! Who knew that the best gf/ vegan ramen EVER was here in Daytona Beach! So. Much. Flavor. Usually vegan ramen is a bit bland but not here. There was so much flavor and the added chili garlic oil absolutely made it. The server recommended the gluten free glass noodles which were light and the perfect match. The spicy garlic edamame can also be made GF and you want it. It’ll be hard not to eat here every night while we’re on vacation!

Pros: Lots of vegan options clearly marked , Gluten free options

Cons: Limited seating

Delicious Vegan Options

We tried this place for the first time and loved the options available. The menu had a clear vegan section with lots to choose from. Enjoyed sitting outside and having a nice evening dinner together. They close early so be aware of that, 8:30pm most nights. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area.

Pros: Lots of options, Clear vegan section in the menu, Outside and inside seating. Pet friendly outside

Cons: A little pricey but delicious and lots of food

It’s in Daytona Beach, FL on Beach Street across from the Jackie Robinson stadium. There are several really good vegan options down there, Kale Kafe and Dancing Avocado.

Good vegan rolls

The eggplant tempura roll was delicious but unfortunately they were out of kale noodles for the ramen. They swapped the noodles out for the udon noodles without telling us they were out. We had to send them back and there’s no other ramen restaurants in the area🤦🏽‍♀️

Pros: Tasty rolls, Nice decorations , Friendly staff

Cons: Ran out of kale noodles

Good food, kinda pricey

The food was delicious, but overpriced for what you get. Many of the vegan items are soup related (udon noodle soup, ramen, etc.) I asked for green curry, which, while it was not on the menu, I saw other happy cow reviewers get.

Superb food, service, and atmosphere; non-GMO and organic options!

What a gem in the culinary wasteland that is Daytona Beach! Not only are the food, service, and atmosphere excellent, but they serve non-GMO soy and organic rice, and they have vegetarian and vegan menus. You can count on one hand the restaurants that have non-GMO food in the greater Daytona area; it's rare to find a restauranteur who has the awareness to understand how toxic GMOs are and offer a healthier option. When I commented to the waitress how much we appreciated having organic and non-GMO options, she actually brought the tofu package to show me it's non-GMO certification. How awesome!

I had the Classic Thai Green Curry with tofu, mixed veggie tempura, and the house salad with ginger dressing. My wife had the Unagi Bomb, eggplant tempura, and Spicy Seafood Tom Yum Noodle Soup. All portions were generous, all dishes were fresh and delicious. It's obvious, compared to other Asian restaurants in the area, the chef has had formal chef training; the flavors, textures, and presentation were superb. The only negative I can mention is that they did not have bottled water, only filtered tap water. They have a good variety of beers, wines, and sake, of course with some Japanese brands.

The restaurant is somewhat small but cozy with nice atmosphere and outside dining, both covered and uncovered. I will certainly eat here again and tell all my friends!

Update 09-2020: previously did not carry bottled water, now they do.

Great little place

Very small restaurant but we’ve been going for years and it’s a favorite! Perfect for our family, as not everyone has the same diet but pretty picky! They are always happy to accommodate and the vegan menu is very large, especially for the area !
Pro tip: get the vegan green curry! Loaded with fresh veggies and my favorite of all time

Pros: Excellent food, Good value , Friendly/accommodating staff

Cons: Limited seating
