Really love Hunger Mountain and funny enough, my husband and I considered the proximity to this co-op when buying a house. The store itself has amazing vegan options and plenty of vegan items. The hot bar food is decent, there’s always tofu and brown rice, but not always an actual vegan dish which is disappointing. There’s typically cold vegan sandwiches available, but not always.
I do wish there were more vegan hot bar options like City Market where it’s half catered to vegan & vegetarian and half catered to omnivores. Although, I do understand that Hunger Mountain is smaller than City Market. Hoping to see some improvements in the future!
Great salad bar but even better hot food selection caters to vegans and vegetarians. Esp3cially love the rice with marinated tofu and steamed greens. Roast potatoes and garlic cauliflower, they change the sides but almost always have the tasty tofu and rice.
There were a lot of meat options but there were a few vegan/vegetarian options and they we're really good. The sandwiches we're pretty unique and tasted good too. The price was reasonable especially for a Co-op
As mentioned in those reviews below, this is a co-op (also opens to non-member) selling food and with food ready to go. The vege lasagna we had was really good. You pay the price by weight. We had some salads as well and it all made up around 9 dollars. Good price!
