Was alright

The positives: the whole roasted cauliflower was delicious. You get free drinks at the start (like samples) and baklava which is a nice touch.
Negatives: It’s expensive for what you get. We got a platter which came with the smallest amount of baba ganoush and some other dips and bits. I didn’t like the chickpeas on top of the hummus as they tasted/had the texture of egg yoke. Would have preferred toasted pitta bread. The staff were quite brusque in their approach (maybe stressed?) and we were seated next to the toilet which wasn’t great, especially given there was so much space between the tables (could have had a much better table arrangement) #Veganuary

Great food!

We tried hummus & falafel in various places in Thailand and this was the only place we enjoyed. The quantity was good and taste was great. Not cheap in comparison to Thailand but the quality is much better than other vegan places around I had the chance to try. The vegan options are marked clearly.

Pros: Many vegan options, Great food

Cons: Expensive (in my opinion - worth it!)

Delicious food and clean

We ate hummus CM which was great but you get only one pitta with it (its not enough). The Sabich was wonderful! The Falafel were big and tasty.

Fave place in Chiang Mai

We visited Hummus 3 times in our 10 days in Chiang Mai - we loved it so much! Only a few dishes weren’t vegan. Service was great too - complimentary drink and baklava, such a nice touch!

Delicious hummus & falafel

We headed to Hummus later in the evening and found it at the end of a dark alley. Consequently the restaurant feels secluded and separate to the busy city. The venue is lightly coloured with many plants in the outdoor areas some of which is covered. There is also an indoor section. Decor is cool and furniture is functional, not particularly cosy and comfy. Ideal venue for a lunch with family or evening dinner with friends.

The hummus is delicious, smooth and creamy, subtle notes without any overbearing taste or flavour. The falafels are also a treat, with a crisp but thin baked shell and soft and herbaceous inside. Both go great with the freshly baked soft pitas. If you like hummus and falafel, I’d be surprised if you can find better in Thailand, the excellence is on another level. Tabbouleh was also very pleasant with a good mix of ingredients. Portions are generally quite generous.

Prices are moderate, however we found the service abrupt and lacking in warmth during the busy period we visited, which spoilt an otherwise excellent meal.

Highly recommend if you like this cuisine.

Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Many vegan options

Cons: Service could be friendlier

Good, but expensive and not 100% vegan.

Hummus CM is definitely one of the best additions to Chiang Mai food scene, though some things made me lower my rating.

I haven't visited in person yet, because I don't like being stuck in Old City traffic and because they open past my lunchtime. I've ordered many times from Foodpanda though.

What's annoying is prices are higher for delivery (and they're already not cheap). Some dishes are a good deal, like falafel sandwich, while others are ridiculously overpriced, such as 165b for 3 small sticks of dolma or 160b for baba ganoush that doesn't even include bread.

Also, they've messed up my order a few times when I've asked for a vegan option. Would be nice to have separate vegetarian and vegan menus because it's not always clear from pictures if your food will be drowned in yoghurt or include gross brown egg. Or better yet, go 100% vegan.

I understand times are tough, but many tourist eateries actually lowered their prices or added cheaper options to attract more customers.

Delicious falafel pitta

The falafel pitta and the aubergine pitta were very good, the size was good and the price was good. The humus and tahini sauce inside the pitta was also very good.

There were a lot of enticing vegan things on the menu, but we decided that we felt as if they were quite expensive and so we didn't try anything else. I know without trying it and seeing portion size and tasting quality it's a harsh judgment, but looking at people's photos of the dishes we were thinking about it Would've been a very expensive meal to fill us up.

Pros: Good falafel, Good humus and tahini, Good pitta

Cons: Expensive, Egg/cheese in some dishes

Loved it

Great vegetarian food. Had the Hummus Classic set which had hummus, pita bread, shakshuka and falafel. Also had the homemade house drink. The total bill came to only THB 410 so very reasonably priced

Pros: Authentic cuisine, Customizable, Tasty :)

I love hummus!

this place! their food is so so good!
the hummus with any of their toppings are delicious! my favorite is the mushroom!
the venue is pretty cool and stylish and is in a tiny little soi, far away from the tha pae craziness!
the prices are more on the high end, therefore its rather a treat than a daily meal place
totally worth spending all your money there!

Delicious Falafel Pita

The falafel pita sandwich and potato wedges are delicious. Big portions at a fair price. I wish I would of taken pictures to show how delicious looking it was; but, I was too hungry and started eating right away!

Tasty!

The food is delicious! We had a hummus plait with cauliflower, the falafel pita and grilled eggplant. All dishes were big. We couldn’t eat it all, so we took the falafel pita away. All our dishes were vegan, expect the sauce of the grilled eggplant.

Pros: Tasty, Many vegan options

Hummus was kind enough to include a free entree with our order, we were genuinely amazed.

Bad service

Order food from here and only got half the order. Tried to sort it out with the staff but they were very unhelpful and didn't want to know. Running a restaurant isn't just about food, you have to treat people correctly too.

Cons: Bad service

Decent hummus but pricey

Nice hummus, typical Thai style and not the same as Western but still tasty. Hummus and pita 160 so quite expensive but a portion could be shared for a light bite.

Pros: Very nice decor and vibe, Air conditioning, Attentive staff who speak english

Cons: Expensive

Good humus

They serve some pretty good (rich, creamy) humus. but I wouldn't say it's the best hummus I ever had. The condiment sauces that come with the dishes work well as a pallete cleanser. Thought the pita bread was okay, though it lacked in texture and it wasn't served hot.

Where I was really dissapointed was the roasted cauliflower. I mean, if you have it on the menu it should be roasted fresh (I know it takes a while). It was served at room temp, and you can see the kitchen just keeps a few of them on the rack. It also tasted bitter.

Not a bad experience but don't think it's worth the hype or the price.

Cons: Roasted cauliflower
