Great food with nice staff - Edit
Great food and a nice waiter (may be the owner). About 10 minutes walk from the main shopping center. This season the menu is 100% vegan, but check per menu what's vegan (the menu says this). Great food, well spiced (not spicy). Mainly Indian regio orientated.

We hebben lekker gegeten. We moesten wel erg lang op ons eten wachten. Na 1.5 uur hadden we alleen nog maar een voorgerecht gehad, terwijl we gewoon gereserveerd hadden. De bediening was ook wat chaotisch.

Had the 4-course dinner, pretty much everything on the menu is vegan or can be veganized. And it is delicious!! The portions are sized to have a satisfied but not overwhelming feeling after dinner, and they succeeded nicely. The tomato tartar, pulled BBQ celeriac and pumpkin pie were all amazing. They took great care of allergies and the combinations and flavours are great. The service was good and very friendly in a nice ambiance. will be returning soon.

Inspired vegan cuisine - Edit
We had the four course meal for 35€ and really enjoyed it - the friendly service, presentation, flavours, and fresh ingredients made for a wonderful meal. Good wine choices as well! Located on a lovely square near central Den Haag, with outdoor seating. Would highly recommend it.

Read moreThe food is beautifully made up and is incredibly flavourful. I usually order the chef's menu and the month's menu and share with my table compagnion, that way you get to sample 8 dishes.
Never been dissapointed here and my non-vegan friends and family are always impressed with the food.

I brought my three non-vegan colleagues and they were, just as me, very enthusiastic about the food. The tempura could have been lighter, but the rest of the dishes were wonderful. Three small dishes and a dessert, I left the restaurant satisfied and smiling.

The food here is wonderful - with many vegan choices and also vegan options. Not your average menu with inventive and thoughtful dishes from the chef to treat your taste buds. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. In a great location with outdoor seating.

We went here last week after reading all the good reviews. We had the chef's combo menu but were pretty disappointed. The starter was a lot of crispy fried vegetables, but it was very heavy and greasy and served with (too little) mayo and ketchup. The thai soup afterwards was really good - but the main dish was, again, very heavy and salty and lacked something fresh like a fresh sauce or veggies or salad... it contained some kind of indonesian pastry with rice, beans and fried plantain. Dessert was nice but not great. Service was good. But food to heavy and greasy.

Hortus, with Boutique hotel, La Paulowna in same building, managed by the brother of the Hortus manager, is an excellent veggie, fusion style restaurant with an Asian/Indian touch. Also fine for vegans, I think. Good wines and fine beers too. Good selections, fixed menu or a la carta.

Had a fantastic meal here last night. It was wonderful. This is fine dining for vegetarians which is still hard to find. Our four course meal was vegan which made it even more impressive.

Definitely one of the best vegetarian and vegan restaurants I’ve ever visited. They offer a wide selection of delicious dishes and my favorite was the satay. It was hard to distinguish their plant based take on this Indonesian classic from beef satay. A must go when you’re in The Hague.

Vegan wines clearly indicated.
And what a pleasant surprise to meet John here (the owner) who used to have a vegetarian resto in Bruges (in B&B 't Schaep).
