Yummy but limited! - Edit
They have a clearly labeled menu showing "vegan option available" items. Their menu changes seasonally, so the number of options varies. One time there were no items labeled as "veganizable" but they were still able to veganize a risotto dish for me; Another time, they had 3 readily-veganized menu items (a burger, a tofu banh mi, and a porkslaw sandwich).
Read moreThe food is good, so you can count on that! This is a sister restaurant to Comet Cafe and Palomino Bar, so you can expect similar quality.
Pie options leave something to be desired for a vegan who doesn't care for fruit pies :)

Updated review: Honeypie moved into a new, larger space on Kinnikinnick Ave about a block north of their previous spot. I had the vegan breakfast burrito and it was great! I'll be checking them out more often and reporting back :)
Read moreOld review: I should love this place because I live really close by and they have hearty (but limited) vegan options, but honestly, I usually get a bellyache after eating here so I've stopped going. They have a veggie burger, a few vegan sandwiches and usually have about two different vegan pies and cupcakes to choose from (check out their bakery case at the bar). If you're walking through Bay View, this would be a nice place to grab a cupcake to go, or stay at the bar for a drink and eat a slice of pie. It gets busy here during weekend brunch. During the summer they open up a fantastic back patio.
