Recent trip

Had a great experience at Honey recently. Previous reviews complained about the menu but I was given a vegan menu so I didn’t have to sort through the main menu and none had honey. There were 10 different options plus a vegan dessert. Thoroughly enjoyed and they were thoughtful enough to ask the table about dietary restrictions before we ordered and adjusted the tiny starter they give you for free before you food to give me something vegan! Everything I ate was delicious though a bit pricey so it’s more of a special occasion place!

Vegan Menu is not Vegan

As of June of 2019, Honey has a printed Vegan menu with about 9 options that the restaurant identifies as vegan, however, they are seemingly unaware that honey is not vegan.

I don't judge people who consume honey but I think it's reasonable to give patrons an informed choice, particularity when there is a printed menu marked as vegan. The owner was unable to identify which items on the vegan menu had honey and seemed to believe that I was nuts for including honey as an animal product.

Hopefully things change since brought the issue up. I question the restaurant's commitment since the topic was not researched prior to creating the menu I mentioned. Similar issues occurred at Honey with their Gluten-Free menu as a customer had to inform the owner that items made in a shared fryer could not be labelled as gluten-free without clarification. These mistakes are hurtful.

If you are still interested in eating at Honey, I encourage you to call ahead for reservations, ask about the vegan menu and specially ask if the vegan menu includes honey in the ingredients. The owner and chef created a "vegan" menu because there was enough demand. Maybe, if there are enough people asking about honey, this problem will be fixed.

Pros: Friendly Servers

Cons: Cost, Misleading Owner and Chef, Small and Loud

Foie Gras - are you kidding me?!

It's a joke that this place should appear on a veg-options list. Skimpy, overpriced, too garlicy hummus plate and little else for a vegan. And they serve foie gras. Boo!

Pros: Doylestown

Cons: Foie Gras. Limited vegan fare.

Severely Limited Vegan options- 2011 review VOID

I recently visited honey based on the last review from 2011.
Although the place seems very nice, the host literally laughed when I mentioned the 2011 review.

She did not recall ever having such a chef. And their options were seriously limited. They currently have a Hummus platter and a few salad selections... maybe two or three. The host informed us that the dishes were very small so you would normally order two to three dishes at the least. The plates are certainly very costly.
There are however more varieties of vegetarian dishes.
Certainly a plethora of meat dishes.

I would be sure to contact the restaurant before visiting.

Pros: Beautiful atmosphere and a lovely downtown area

Cons: High food cost, Small dishes., Very very limited vegan options

Fantastic Vegan friendly restaurant

This restaurant has a vegan chef on staff so they have about 12-15 vegan variations of their normal menu items. The flavors are fantastic and the dishes imaginative. This was the best restaurant I have ate at in a year. This is a little known gem for vegans. A must try. I would give it 5 cows, but the maximum is 4.

Pros: Vegan options, Imaginative, Bold Flavors

Cons: Noisy
