Gostei muito :D - Edit
Boa comida! Embora falte sempre alguma coisa, ou pão ou os queijos. Mas tirando isso, a comida é bem confecciona e muito saborosa.

In a peaceful location and sometimes it’s hard to find a parking spot but it’s worth it!
Read moreHokkaido it’s one of the best places to eat in Alentejo!
Friendly staff and owners are always so welcoming.
My preferred food is the Lasanha but the seitan stroganoff is amazing! And the prices are fair.

The oasis of the district of Portalegre! - Edit
This establishment is a real find: the only fully vegan restaurant in the whole district! With great service and a spacious dining room, one can see great care went into crafting a flavorful combination of macrobiotic ingredients. It’s not just Asian cuisine, there is something for everyone. And the moderate prices are most inviting.

A good effort - Edit
First, let's mention that generally speaking, in Alentejo region, life is not easy for a veg*ns: specialties are almost all meat-based and veg*n options more than limited on restaurant menues. It is therefore welcome to find a veg*n restaurant in Portalegre.

Great little gem in Portugal - Edit
My cousin had the "Folhado de Cogumelos com Teriyaki" which is kind of like a beef Wellington with mushrooms, it was amazing!
Read moreI had the "Tagliatelle à Carbonara", which was also pretty good, but I felt like it didn't really taste like a Carbonara.
My son had the "Tofu salteado com legumes", which I felt was a bit too salty, but otherwise okay.
We tried various appetizers: the bread, the cheese plate, vegetable pate, and olive oil samplers. We all pretty much loved the cheese plate, even my cousin who isn't vegan said it tasted like she would expect, but better.
My son ordered the "cheesecake", which was mediocre and I had the coffee pudding, which was pretty decent.
All in all, I'd definitely go back, but mostly to try the other items on their menu.
Pros: Variety of foods, Courteous Staff
Cons: Pricey (for the region)

I am a fan of wholefoods and organics ... But - Edit
The tastiness is more between 3 and 4 "gurmet stars".
Read moreSatiety more like 2 out of 5 stars.
Starter' cheese platter was very tasty! It really surprised me, 5 out of 5 Gurmet stars. Also the warm bread with it, very tasty. There could have been more.
We have here the dishes
Strogonoff,
Ramen,
chop-suey,
as well as the dessert pumpkin pie and brownie.
We found the dishes ok, but somehow there was always something missing.
Strogonoff could have used potatoes or noodles.
Chop Suey proper wholemeal rice (instead of the barely discovered rice noodles) and maybe tofu?
I ate the ramen much better in Lisbon (Yasai Ramen) ~ so I was already pre- minted.
In the end, we didn't really feel full ...
But not bad either.
I was told that everything was organic. It would be nice if that was written somewhere ~ that's also positive advertising ;)
Thanks for the food ^^

A lovely find - Edit
We had just arrived in Portugal and this was our first stop. We are not good at speaking Portuguese but the lad who worked there was great and we got there in the end. You scan the QR code for the menu which had a nice variety. I had a ramen and my partner had stroganoff which were both very tasty. We had a glass of wine each, starters, mains and coffee with cake for 31 euros which was very good value for money. The address has changed as they have relocated up the road.

Neighbourhood pioneer - Edit
The pioneer of vegan food in the Alto Alentejo. Tucked away in a residential area, the restaurant offers a daily changing dish and some Asian-influenced staples.
