Vegan gastronomic experience

We already visited Hofke van Bazel a few times and every time they adjusted the entire menu to be completely vegan, from appetizers to dessert.
Every menu is different and always surprising. The dishes are real vegan alternatives which makes it worth the money you pay.

Pros: Vegan on a gastronomic level, Using products from there own vegetable garden

Truffles aren’t vegan, dear chef

Went there with a group, we mentioned in advance multiple times that I’m vegan but never got any response. One out of three of the appetizers was vegan, as was the hummus for self service. The first three courses were fine, but the main course was covered in and with truffles, which isn’t vegan. Chef said to have removed the truffles but you could taste it all over the ‘risotto’. The figs for dessert were delicious. Pity that the owners seemed very stressed and arrogant, that it was audible as guest how they referred to some of the guests (‘that black one there’), that the butter served with the bread (not sure if it was vegan) contained dairy, that they served and specifically mentioned dairy milk in front of my nose at the finalizing tea/coffee, as well that they didn’t mention or offer any vegan options for the large petit fours plate served with the tea/coffee (last picture I uploaded).

Wouldn’t recommend it for vegans.

To convert

It’s the only restaurant where I was able to convince/convert my family to eat vegetarian.

The taste and quality with vegetables from their own vegetable garden is perfect.

It’s not cheap but it’s worth the money.

Pros: Location, Quality , Service

Cons: Cost
