Ich hab mir zum Frühstück das Hafermüsli mit Obst und Nüssen ausgesucht und hab das wunschgemäß mit Wasser statt Milch bekommen. Das Obst darin war gut und frisch, von den Nüssen/Mandeln war aber leider kaum was zu sehen.

Hofcafé has been there for a long time and I can definitely recommend going there!
Read moreThere are different seating areas and in summer there is also a nice balcony.
They have several vegan dishes and few dishes can be also made vegan - everything is clearly marked on the menu! If you're lucky, they may even have vegan cake ! For coffee etc you can choose between soy and oat milk.
When I last went there, I had the Endoori burger - super tasty and filling! The fries on the side were a bit too long in the deep fryer, but well, at least they were crunchy ;)

Nice breakfast in city center - Edit
We checked by for breakfast, they offer one vegan breakfast (scrambled tofu, veggies, margarine, marmelade and a bun): very filling and tasty. They also have oat milk. Prices were normal.

Der vegane Burger schmeckt sehr gut, die Fritten auch, Ketchup und Mayonnaise sind kostenlos, die vegane Mayonnaise kostet allerdings extra.

Pros: Auf der Terasse kann man schön draußen sitzen
Cons: Wenig vegane Optionen, allerdings ist die gesamte , Karte aufgrund von Corona ziemlich übersichtlich.

Hier wird man auf der Suche nach veganen essen zu jeder Mahlzeit fündig. Das vegane Frühstück ist lecker und kommt mit Rührtofu und auch mittags und abends bekommt man eine ganze Seite voll Veganer Optionen (wenn nicht gerade Corona ist)

Das (einzige) vegane Frühstück war in Ordnung. Das Rührtofu war gut gewürzt, der Salat war gut. Für ein Brötchen war es wirklich viel Aufstrich und Marmelade.

Simple surrounding with friendly staff. We had tomato soup and pumpkin soup which were delicious. The pasta with mediterranean veggies was good, but had too much celery in it for my taste.

It's a nice place with outside and inside seating options. They have a page in their menu dedicated to vegans food one vegans breakfast option which I had.
Read moreBebause we chose to sit outside on the street, we had to tell the staff, which at first seemed to ignore us. But once we ordered everything went fine and we had a good time.
But, even though I ordered the vegans breakfast, which includes a hot beverage I had to pay extra for soy milk. :(

Friendly, bright, quite large place, a little bit hidden in 2nd floor. In the middle of old town. A few vegetarian and vegan options; however, composition of burger patty completely unknown to all members of staff (i.e., it might have been prepared elsewhere?). ‚Gluten free‘ listed together with vegan menu items ;)

The Hofcafe is located right next to the inner city campus of Bamberg's university. Hence there are many young people around. All in all the visitors are pretty mixed though which makes for a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
Read moreThere are several vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu which are clearly marked as such. There also is a special menu that changes around every other week and also contains one vegetarian dish. The prices range from around 7 to 12 Euro.
They offer breakfast till 4 pm and have vegan option there too. (Haven't tried this one yet.)
As a whole I would say their food is pretty decent yet nothing special. They are a solid choice for food in the inner city.
Pros: In the inner city, Decent food. Sometimes very good., Nice and friendly waiters/waitresses
Cons: Bit expensive at times, Can be crowded at times. specially in the evenings
