Very Basic Vegan Restaurant - Edit
Not a lot of open restaurants in the afternoon so found this one. Staff does not speak English so I was unable to choose the lunch menu since they could not tell me what is was. The menu is also in English - ordered de vegan chicken with rice and morning glory, the setup was a little pricey for Vietnam but if it really is organic then it is worth it. The taste of the chicken was ok but nothing special.

Nice little restaurant with an English menu. We had the crab hot pot. It took some time to come, but it was delicious. Staff doesn't speak English, but is really friendly.

It's ok, but very oily - Edit
Staff was very friendly. The food was just ok, though. I've tried many vegetarian places in Vietnam and this one wasn't the best. A bit pricey and not very tasteful.

Delicious hidden gem! - Edit
Stumbled on this down a side street. Meals in set menu available in 3 sizes. The smallest is still very large and filling. Delicious food worth a visit and extremely cheap!

Cheap food - Edit
The mushroom stuffed tomatoes are the best! Also the vegan shrimp soup, all kinds of rolls, mock meats and Vietnamese pancake. We come here frequently as the food is amazing and affordable.

Yummy hot pot - Edit
I eat here frequently because it’s in my alley. My fav dish here is the hot pot. Vegan pho and bun rieu are also delish. It’s best to order individual dish rather than “com dia” since the food for “com dia” can usually be cold as they put the buffet food outside without keeping it warm.

Lovely - Edit
So friendly. Nice buffet and noodles for lunch. This is a great place for a long lunch or dinner with friends. There is a big clean space next to a temple. They play very relaxing spiritual music which adds to the atmosphere.

Superb vegan restaurant - Edit
One of my all time favourite restaurants, and I'm not even vegan. The food is super tasty, the portions are big and all that at very affordable prices.

Authentic Vietnamese Vegan Food - Edit
I eat there from time to time and I can say it's one of the best vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the city which serves Vietnamese cuisine. They have huge varity of dishes but my favorite it's stir-fried noodles, braised eggplants in the pot, tofu lemongrass and pineapple fried rice. They have very big space, and it's owner has been running restaurant business for a long time, that's why she knows how to make the food by traditional vietnamese recipes but vegan.

Nice service! - Edit
The women who worked there were very nice, much better than other hoa sens we have visited. It's a little hard to find and the vibe inside is kind of weird. We were there at about 630 on Friday and it was very quiet. I got sour soup and my boyfriend had noodles, both portions were plentiful and tasty. The rolls and dumplings were kind of odd though. The food is a bit over priced in my opinion but that's often the case in Hanoi. Overall not bad though. Would visit again if it wasn't a trek out there.

Went again last week, this place was renamed as Vô Ưu. Same chefs and staff with really really good food ^^ No buffet this time so we tried several dishes from soup in coconut and spring rolls etc, all were good.

Com Chay Hoa Sen - Edit
This was my third visit, twice were takeaways. We waited over 45 mins for five dishes. This happened last visit so gave it another chance, bit disappointed, there was only two other diners.
Read moreTwo dishes were unsatisfactory.
Hope they improve.
I revisited this Com Chay this week and WOW! what a change. New chef, the dishes I ordered were well presented and the vegetables were Al Dente, spring rolls were nicely flavoured. Rice with Lotus Seeds, were well presented in lotus leaves was great. I was pleased it had lifted its act. They have opened a new place in town near Hoan Kiem lake. Yet to try.

Cool and family-like - Edit
Nice restaurant, cooled in summer, close to a pagoda (like usually here) in a quiet street. The set rice / cơm suất is 30.000 VND, not so big as some other places around Hanoi though. They have a nice little grocery store where you can buy delicious green-bean deserts (my favourite). The staff is really friendly and family-like.
